London!!

Hello every body! How are you?

Recently, me and my mum took a trip to London to see the musical, Ghost! I managed to remember to take lots of photos so I can do a write up of it!! Enjoy!!

Pluto :D
When we first got into London, we hit Oxford Street (of course!)!! I had a special interest in this as I wanted to check out the Forever 21 store!! If I wasn't hungry and a bit tired still, I would of had a proper look round, not just in the first bit! But I still found plenty of things I wanted :D My mum said I could have one thing for Christmas, so I picked a thick blue cardigan with gold and silver details on it!! You will see it after Christmas :P

After that we went to the Disney Store, to check out the Christmas decorations (YAY) and to look for presents for friends kids. I love the Christmas set up, especially this arch way over the staircase down, with Pluto sticking out! Managed to get another Christmas present here, a metal flask themed Pirates of the Caribbean, with Jack Sparrow on it, YUM!!

Next up, it was definitely time for lunch!! We went to Garfunkles for noms, and I ordered this lovely sized pizza for my lunch! It was just an ordinary margarita pizza but it was so GOOD!! Here you can also see my gold painted nails and my massive man watch :P
My mum had tuna and mozzarella panini with chunky chips and salsa dip! It tasted good too, she let me pinch a bit!!

Obviously I had to have dessert, just to keep me going until dinner, so I picked my old favourite, cheesecake!!

Ohm nom nom
Next, we took a stroll down Regents Street, hitting Dahlia, my favourite little boutique shop, just off Carnaby Street, full of cute girly dresses!! Another Christmas present ;) Picked up my second Dahlia dress, one for wearing Christmas day! So that's my outfit sorted!!
We also discovered, down a little side road, an Illamasqua store YAY!! Managed to convince my mum to check it out and we had a look round! I haven't tried Illamasqua before, but I have heard of it on the blogging sphere and was very interested! Managed to bag a lipstick for Christmas!! YAY

Next was a lovely treat, a trip into the Ice Bar!! If you have not heard of this, it is a bar made entirely of ice! I took so many pics in there, I could probably fill this blog, so I picked three to show you!

They had engravings in the ice like this around the room

Wearing the large eskimo style coats and gloves you have to wear, since it's below 0!!

Me in the Ice Bar with my bear hat on!!
It was so much fun in there, but I think me and my mum only lasted about half an hour before it got a bit too chilly! It's very small, so it gets packed easily, but it was a truly brilliant experience being in an entire room made out of Ice!

We slowly took our time walking down Regents Street to Piccadilly, popping into Godiva to have a drool over the chocolates!
Mmmmm, looks so good!
We were going to get a box for £7 but it turns out the prices are very clear and £7 was just for the strawberries!! It was about £12 for a box of strawberries AND the chocolate covering them! Can some one say rip off? I know its a luxury chocolate brand, but that's just ridiculous! It was a shame, because they looked so good! But we refused to pay that much for them!

After wandering around Piccadilly, looking for the theatre, we found it, and then decided on dinner!! I had spotted a particular favourite of mine that we could check out ;)
RAINFOREST CAFE *spazzes*
I LOVE Rainforest Cafe!! I would go there every week if I could afford it! It's like being a kid again, and reminds me of Florida! The thunder storm, the animated animals, the delicious food. HEAVEN.

Starry sky, with occasional shooting star we were sat under
Elephants we were sat near, a couple sat right next too and jumped when they went off!
There always seems to be a fish tank near the toilets :D
I heard this guy keep going off, but I went round the restaurant and couldn't find him! That was until I looked up!!
We managed to spend about an hour and a half to two hours in there, ordering nachos and these delicious coated prawns!! We had a natter, ate slowly (it wasn't busy) and I checked out all the animals on the upper level! I love walking around it, seeing all the animatronic animals!

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take photos inside the theatre for Ghost, but I can tell you, it was AWESOME!! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was unfortunate we had to leave as soon as it ended, missing the curtain calls, but we had a train to catch!

Here's the last photos of the day, just pics of the bags on the train, our little haul!!

Bag containing lovely dress :D
My mum wanted the Christmas one, but I chose this one because its mine and I have to use it all year :P
LIPSTICK YES
I hope you enjoyed my blog update on my trip to London and enjoyed the photos! Let me know any thoughts and comments! Have you been to any of these places before? Have you seen Ghost? Let me know!!

*Late* Halloween Post!

Happy late Halloween every one!! On the 30th I attended a Halloween pub quiz and decided to do a bit of creepy make up!! I went as a creepy living doll!

Creepy smile bwuahahaha
I had so much fun with this and I think I will be doing more make up looks for holidays in the future :D I took this one from a tutorial my friend did and add my own kick too it!!
Dead pan
I loved staring at my cousin at the quiz like this, it freaked her out and she threatened violence on me :D
Crawling out from under your bed like this
I freaked out a few of my friends too on facebook, which was funny :D I need to pop these photos on my KittyBonkers facebook pages!! All of them will be on there after this post :D

Free head accessory
If you are lucky like me, sometimes people drop things at my work and they never come back for them! At the end of the day, they are up for grabs (if they are something like this or the Hello Kitty rubbers I got too) and I managed to bagsie this, perfect for this look!

I also bought a hat scarf Sunday too, as my friend had one and I immediately fell in love! It is going to be perfect for when the weather starts getting cold (at the moment its only like 16 degrees out, not even hat weather!)

This was also the first time I wore false eyelashes and it was a weird experience!! I got used to it after a couple of hours, but pulling them off again was weird too!! Here are some funny half half and bare faced looks haha, the aftermath!

What a mess, haha!! So ladies, what did you get up to over the Halloween weekend and did you dress up as anything? Do you enjoy Halloween?

New Blogger Alert!! My Lolita Mamma, Moon Keki!

Hello my darlings! Today I slowly start blogging again :P I will come back with things I enjoy blogging about, so the blog might be less beauty and make up and more just me and my interests! Luckily some of those interests are beauty and make up, so don't worry, there still will be some posts ;D

Now onto the main event of this post!! My friend, Wai-yi, whom I love very much, has started her own blog (finally after much nagging. Next, I shall make her go onto twitter BWUAHAHAHAHAHA...ahem)

Wai-yi is a love little cute asian lady (I call her my Asian Mamma, even though I am older) and she loves to dress in the lolita fashion!! She was the first proper lolita I know personally!! And she invites me to the Loli meets sometimes, which, even though I don't have Loli clothes, is really awesome, seeing local Lolis right in front of me in gorgeous clothes!!

Spot the Kitty Bonkers :P
Wai-yi is the one in the red dress!! She is so cute <33 Here is me and her posing for a photo shoot!!

She lives, due to Uni, a few towns over from me, so I don't see her as much as I would like!! But she comes to Portsmouth sometimes and sometimes I go to Winchester to stay over a couple of nights!

Now onto her blog!! She is Moon Keki :D Moon Keki Go check her out and give her a follow!! Shes brand new, so only has a few blog posts up at the moment, one on circle lenses and one about a new skirt she bought (Lolita). She looks like an excellent blogger so far, so please do follow her <33

The Pressures of Blogging

Hi guys! Long time no see, eh?

This post is going to be about why I haven't been blogging and why, from now on, I won't be having a schedule or even blogging every day!

As a relatively new blogger, I find myself feeling the pressure to post amazing blog posts on things I think people would love. I build myself up to the expectation that I want this fantastic amazing blog that everyone will enjoy reading, but in reality, I force posts out and you can tell they are forced sometimes. I think the pressure gets to me and I panic write.

Then I do the opposite. Blogging becomes a chore, something I feel pressured to do, and when I don't, I feel guilty because I haven't written something for my readers. And that then makes me want to write even less and avoid blogger altogether.

After discussing with other bloggers and realising, my original fans, the ones I love hearing from the most, comment on my posts no matter what and are always there. Whether I blog once a week or every day, I always see their names pop up in my inbox, and it makes me smile.

I realised, I don't need to panic about writing a blog post every day. I still feel guilty, but I need to not feel the pressure of blogging, its a fun hobby, not a career!!

I am hoping you lovely people will continue to support me, even if I won't be posting once a day <3 I will try and get outfit and face of the day posts up, but sometimes I won't feel like it and I hope you guys will understand.

I am going to try and blog more, when I feel like it and have an idea. I hope you won't mind not having daily posts, but I think a couple of proper posts a week will be better than a three week silence!!

And new bloggers, I ask you to take heed to this, please don't fall into my trap and value those lovely commenters that comment every time on your blog, as they are the special ones <3

On The Cheap: Face masks!!

If you are anything like me, you love a good face mask!! Now, face masks can come in a variety of types and prices, and if you are like me too, you will be a cheap skate ha ha!

In this post I will be covering both home made and shop bought face masks that have worked for me and my friends!!

Personally, I loved using yoghurt and honey as a face mask!! I shall tell you about a few home made recipes me and my friends have tried!

One I tried was honey, milk and natural yoghurt! Now, when you make this mix, trust me, you don't need half as much as you think!! Only make a little bit, as it goes on quite thinly, but gives a good coverage. You might have to tilt your head back a bit as this mask can be quite runny! This is good for moisturising and also the honey helps with spots a little bit, as its antiseptic. That's why they say have some honey when you have a cough ;) This mask goes sticky after 5-10 minutes, so you won't have to worry too much about it running down your face the entire time its on!
I liked this mask as it was nice and moisturising and not harsh on my sometimes sensitive skin! It smelt delicious (please try not to eat your home made masks ;) ) and it was quick, easy and, most importantly, CHEAP.
Here is a picture of me with it on, like a cool kid ;D

Another home made mask that my friend made, on the same day, was one with strawberries! She just chopped up some raspberries very small and then mashed them up in a bowl, adding some honey to the mixture!! Once it was a good consistency, she smeared on her face! Now, I warn you, this one is sticky! But its very good for skin that breaks out, with the antioxidants from the strawberries, as well as the vitamins and minerals, and the antiseptic from the honey! This one also smells nice and it dries to a slight sticky consistency. Once washed off, her face was lovely and smooth and she said it felt really good!!

3 of us have home made masks and one has a shop bought ;)
Now onto shop bought!

I know of a few types of mask, and as a Lush Lover, I do sometimes go for their face masks, but they aren't 'cheap' in the way we are looking at (though damn good value for money considering how many masks you can get out of them!)

Two of my favourite cheap face masks, that I buy from Superdrugs, are:

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Masque

I love this mask! It tingles a tiny bit at first, but it doesn't sting or anything!! It doesn't go on purple, but makes you look more like you have bad sun burn, BUT ITS SO FUN TO PEEL OFF!! But that's not the reason I buy it! My face always feels so smooth and my pores look better after using this! I like to leave it on about 20 minutes to dry properly and then I have the utmost fun pulling it off and pretending I am a zombie ;D This mask (which, if you really want to scrimp and save, you can get two applications out of) costs only 99p-£1.01!! Cheapy cheap!! I usually use these ones on a Wednesday!

Another mask I like to use on a Sunday, in my bath, apart from my Lush ones, are:
Mudd Original Mask
This has been my favourite clay based mask for YEARS!! I always buy this if I lack a mask for Sunday nights, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It hardens up over time and it makes my skin feel so clean deep down  and smooth and soft and I always feel the benefits for a long time afterwards (till the next one ;D) Even after using the Lush one, I still feel this is better :D You can now buy these in bigger packs, with more applications, though I always find I can squeeze 2 out of this '1' pack!! This also retails around the £1 mark!! Bargin!!

Now, I suggest you all try and make your own home made face mask, just once, whether its with your friends or alone, as its both fun and you know what's going into your mask!! And you can feel the benefits even from such simple ingredients! I suggest using a bit of honey in each mask, especially if you have spot prone skin! If you want to find some good home made mask recipes, go HERE. I love this website, I can spend hours trawling through it for ideas...so sad!

So, what do you think? Do you enjoy making home made masks? What's your favourite mask to use?

Simple Sunday and Mostly Monday

Time for a catch up! Sunday and Monday were pretty chill days, with a few bits of hecticness thrown in!

Sunday ~
Sunday's are my chill out days and I like to start the day (or sometimes end it) with a lovely long bubble bath, filled with Lush bath products!!
Lotsa bubblleessss
Relaxing bath is not complete with out cup of tea and a book!
I like to paint my toe nails on Sundays, so I did a proper pedicure! I soaked my feet in a warm bowl, used a pumice stone on them, moisturised them and then painted my toe nails! I used those toe separators so I didn't get my toes messy, as sometimes they stick together and I get nail polish on my skin!
Messy table not optional for pedicure
Blue tootsies!
I need to redo the tips today though, because I went swimming Monday LE SIGH. Why can't they make a chlorine proof nail polish D:
I also spent the day colouring in the picture I was working on:

Every fortnight, there is a quiz night near my dads place and we always go if I am at his place. We don't aim to win, more to have a good time and see my Aunty Jane!
I usually have to write!! I don't mind though, sometimes I know the answers, but other teams know more!! We did end up winning the Bonus round though, which wasn't too bad!! Its always a high light of the weekend, going to the quiz!!

Monday ~

Monday started up with finishing off my picture (finally)
I then met up with my friend for swimming!! I like to go swimming once a week if I can, and hopefully, one day, I will pay for a month!! Then I can go swimming as much as I like all month!!
After swimming, we sat outside and had some lunch, enjoying the warm day!
My friend Zara comes with me to swimming a few times, she enjoys the couple of hours doing it, even if the swimming pool is full (like it was yesterday) of kids!
That's the swimming pool behind Zara!
After lunch, Zara had to leave, so I ended up staying and enjoying some time reading my book and enjoying the weather!
After I got home, since I was in the drawing mood again, I decided to draw something else, an entry for a competition on deviant art! It only took me the afternoon and evening to complete, so its a bit scruffy;
Line art and beginning of colouring
Finished image!
It's meant to be a God of Light, in the form of a Griffin! It was fun drawing something I don't usually draw and I enjoyed it, and also it shows I can finish a drawing in a day haha!!

Any ways, that was what I did on Sunday and Monday, not much, but I enjoy my quiet life style!! See you tomorrow!
