FOTD ~ A bit of October Gold

Hey guys!! In case you hadn't seen, I dip dyed my hair! Here is a quick pic, for some reason one side of my hair came out wavier than the other!! Grrrrr! But you can see the pink so it's all good (^_^)/

Just a quick face of the day post, cause I put full make up on today rather than just mascara, eye shadow/liner and lip stuff!

Close up of my face
Not sure what colour my actual eyes look here...sea blue haha!
Went for a shimmer gold/bronze type look today!
Messy lipstick, opps (>_<)
Products I used:
S Color Pink Concealer under my eye area
LUSH Jackie Oates Colour Supplement all over
S Color Translucent loose mineral powder
S Color Highlighter
VIVO Baked Blush in Peaches and Cream
S Color Blonde Brow Pencil
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Virgin (base) and Smog (crease)
MUA eyeshadow in Shade 29 - Pearl (all over)
Avon Super Full mascara
MUA eye pencil in Snow White in corners of eyes
Fabulous Kohl Eye Pencil by Barry M
Rimmel London Colour Show Off Lipstick in Love Me

I will do a FOTD tomorrow and you will see how much I normal put on, which is a lot less than this haha! This is more of a night out list, but I was bored this morning and had time to kill (~_~)

How much make up do you usually wear?

The Boyfriend Does Henna! PHOTO HEAVY

Hey every body! The other week, when I was visiting the boyf, he decided to change his hair from Henna dyed ginger, to dark again. Here is a photo blog of the process!!

BEFORE PHOTOS

He bought LUSH's Caca Noir Henna to turn his hair back into a darker colour! Henna looks like so much fun to work with, but very messy business ;) Let's start shall we!

STEP ONE ~ Pop into a bowl. Add hot water!

STEP TWO ~ MIX, MIX MY PRETTIES, MIX

Mix until it looks like this lovely gloop

STEP THREE ~ Pop on a baine marie and heat until hot, but not burning, otherwise you will burn your head!

Touch test!

STEP FOUR ~ Apply to head, making sure your hair is fully covered all over!

Remember dem gloves

STEP FIVE ~ Wait! You can either let it air dry, or do what boyfie did and wrap it in a plastic bag at first, heat, leave covered for an hour, then let hair dry for 3-4 hours!

STEP SIX ~ Thoroughly wash off and leave to dry and see your new hair colour! NOTE: Henna does develop over time, so you will see it changing colour to darker/more vibrant over a few days

Finished colour!
No more ginger! Woo!!

Have you tried Henna dyes?

July Favourites!

Hellooo! I thought I would do a July Favourites, since I have seen them about but I have never done a monthly favourites post! This will probably be shorter than most, and I will be using stock photos as my camera is currently lacking battery and my charger is at home, but hopefully you will still enjoy it!

Angels on Bare Skin...this is definitely something sent from Heaven!! Since I was a teenager, I have used Clearasil. Yes, Clearasil. I know I know. I thought it was good for me and my skin! Turns out, I was oh so wrong. Since using Angels, my skin has improved so much, with hardly any more break outs apart from hormonal monthly ones and a reduction in my oily face!

I switch between this and Catastrophe Cosmetic, but over summer I prefer this as my face becomes oilier during summer and this clears it right up, and even helps with the monthly hormonal break out!! I am suffering that time right now, and I have one tiniest of spots on my chin and that's it! This face mask is brilliant <3

I am a sucker for lovely smelling hair, and boy does this do the job. I think I lacked the money for a while, to buy this, so I went back to cheap hair stuff, but now I work, I can buy as much as this as I want and my hair smells AWESOME for a few days! It lasts aaaaaaaaages, and it makes my hair super soft!

I must say, I am in love with this. I've had it for ages, but I always forget about it till I wear it again and then I am like I LOVE YOU BBY NEVER LEAVE ME. I love it so much I have just ordered two more colours off the website. These are just so easy to make a lovely look on your eyes, so quick too! I wish they would make them in more colour combos!

That's it for my July favourites! What have been your favourite things to use this July? Have you tried any of these things? Drop me a comment!

OOTD + FOTD 2/7/12

Just a quick little Outfit and Face of the Day post!

I went out with my friends for a couple of hours down town so I put on something that wasn't totally awful and shimmied on down to town!

Looking at other outfit posts and things like this, I see people put a lot of photos of one outfit up. I, as of yet, can not do this, for reasons unknown to me....ANY WAYS, I DID manage to find a spot in my house that isn't my mirror where I can set up my camera to take pics ;D

I am not too sure where every thing was from D: I think the cardy was from Republic and the shoes and tights are from Primarni! That's all I vaguely remember, sorry!

My make up was a simple affair, as I am lazy with my make up to be fair. I don't do anything fancy. Base, eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick, done!

Products I used (which is a bit easier to remember ;D ) :
Benefit The Porefessional
Collection 2000 Cover Up Stick
LUSH Jackie Oats Colour Supplement
Rimmel London Pure White Eye Liner
Benefit Eye Bright
MUA Blusher Shade 1
MUA Poptastic Palette
Urban Decay Eyeliner in Zero
MUA Lip Boom Doin' Good

The first 6 things are what I always put on, the rest underneath often vary (but at the moment, not much!)

So that was my outfit and face for yesterday! Todays will come tomorrow, because my life is out of sync, like my brain :P

Simple Sunday and Mostly Monday

Time for a catch up! Sunday and Monday were pretty chill days, with a few bits of hecticness thrown in!

Sunday ~
Sunday's are my chill out days and I like to start the day (or sometimes end it) with a lovely long bubble bath, filled with Lush bath products!!
Lotsa bubblleessss
Relaxing bath is not complete with out cup of tea and a book!
I like to paint my toe nails on Sundays, so I did a proper pedicure! I soaked my feet in a warm bowl, used a pumice stone on them, moisturised them and then painted my toe nails! I used those toe separators so I didn't get my toes messy, as sometimes they stick together and I get nail polish on my skin!
Messy table not optional for pedicure
Blue tootsies!
I need to redo the tips today though, because I went swimming Monday LE SIGH. Why can't they make a chlorine proof nail polish D:
I also spent the day colouring in the picture I was working on:

Every fortnight, there is a quiz night near my dads place and we always go if I am at his place. We don't aim to win, more to have a good time and see my Aunty Jane!
I usually have to write!! I don't mind though, sometimes I know the answers, but other teams know more!! We did end up winning the Bonus round though, which wasn't too bad!! Its always a high light of the weekend, going to the quiz!!

Monday ~

Monday started up with finishing off my picture (finally)
I then met up with my friend for swimming!! I like to go swimming once a week if I can, and hopefully, one day, I will pay for a month!! Then I can go swimming as much as I like all month!!
After swimming, we sat outside and had some lunch, enjoying the warm day!
My friend Zara comes with me to swimming a few times, she enjoys the couple of hours doing it, even if the swimming pool is full (like it was yesterday) of kids!
That's the swimming pool behind Zara!
After lunch, Zara had to leave, so I ended up staying and enjoying some time reading my book and enjoying the weather!
After I got home, since I was in the drawing mood again, I decided to draw something else, an entry for a competition on deviant art! It only took me the afternoon and evening to complete, so its a bit scruffy;
Line art and beginning of colouring
Finished image!
It's meant to be a God of Light, in the form of a Griffin! It was fun drawing something I don't usually draw and I enjoyed it, and also it shows I can finish a drawing in a day haha!!

Any ways, that was what I did on Sunday and Monday, not much, but I enjoy my quiet life style!! See you tomorrow!

Kitty's Sunny Weekend + GLASS IN MA HAND

Hello my lovelies!! I am blogging today about my weekend! I thought, since I try and fill my days up, that maybe they are worth blogging about these days!

SATURDAY

On Saturday, I had arranged to have lunch with my friend down Commercial Road, Portsmouth. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures apart from my out fit haha! We had a look round the shops, she bought a dress, I bought a ring, and we sat and had lunch in Tesco's Cafe, which was nommy! Their cake was nice! In the evening me and another friend went to a LUSH VIP party, which was lovely! I love LUSH and the smell of their shop! It may be a tad expensive, but I think its worth it! Plus, some of their stuff is under £5!!
Unfortunately I had a little accident in the shop. I had a wine glass in one hand (from the complimentary drinks) and had some heels on. My heel caught a wet patch and WHOOSH, over I went, glass smashed, alcohol straight in my face! My eyes stung, that was the first thing I felt! Once I had been helped to a seat, my knee started hurting and I now have a lovely bruise! I was asked if I was cut any where, and at first I was like, I don't think so....then I check my right hand!
Looks worse than it is, they were only small cuts on my hand where the glass had cut it! There was a little bit of glass in there, which the first aider managed to remove and then put some plasters on!
The top one was the worse one, as it looked like the glass had sliced into my hand at an angle! None of them needed stitches, so all was well! And for falling over, the staff gave me (and my friend) some freebies! I felt a bit guilty, so I was very thankful for the free box and the couple of extra goodies I got!
I got a free cotton bag and everything! My dad said, next time, break an arm and see what you get! Thanks dad >_>

SUNDAY

On Sunday I started off the day with a lovely long LUSH bath and came out smelling LOVELY!! My dads living smelt of LUSH all weekend because that's where all my products were! Now my room smells like it ahaha! Anyways, after that lovely bath, I got ready and met up with a friend in Gunwharf. We then proceeded to spend the next hour walking along the sea front to South Parade Pier!! It was sooo warm, but there was a lovely breeze coming off the sea, so it wasn't too melting. The only problem was the fact it was so crowded! Sunny Sunday in Portsmouth? Lets all go down the seafront! I swear, the entire population of Portsmouth was down there! It is a lovely scenic route though, with an old battlement, a fun fair and various other attractions.
Right near South Parade Pier, me and my friend found this lovely little garden, almost like a secret garden, and sat down to appreciate the scenery and eat some lunch!
This was what drew me in at first. I was like, 'Oohhh whats that? Looks like a fountain!' We followed the circular pathway round the fountain and pond, to find a mini waterfall and some steps leading down wards
Following the path down, we found a smaller pond and a garden filled with dragon flies and butterflies. There were a couple of people around, but it was pretty quiet, considering how close it was to all the crowds.
That was quite a small dragonfly, there were bigger ones flying around!!
On a little walk through, past a marina, there is this floating rotten platform. Its been there a while, and so have the pair of swans that are often on it. I think they must of been there for about 4-5 years, and I was glad to see both of them there, since last time there was only one! And swans mate for life, so I got sad, thinking the other one was dead! But they are both alive, yay! I couldn't get a very good picture in the sunlight, but the two white blobs are the swans:
There was a small event called 'Art on the Pier' going on at South Parade Pier, which is what me and my friend wanted to go too, so we had a look round the 15 artists tables and then had a chat with one of the artist my friend knew.
After that, I went home and painted my nails then had a lovely roast dinner! It doesn't matter how hot it will be, I love my roasts!! Me and my dad had it with some lovely smoked salmon, which was delicious with gravy!
In the evening we went to the post office club quiz, which we proceeded to lose, though we did win the Bonus round!
It was a pretty good weekend all round! Got out and about and had a fun time!
What did you guys get up to this weekend just passed?
