Hellooo! I thought I would do a July Favourites, since I have seen them about but I have never done a monthly favourites post! This will probably be shorter than most, and I will be using stock photos as my camera is currently lacking battery and my charger is at home, but hopefully you will still enjoy it!
Angels on Bare Skin...this is definitely something sent from Heaven!! Since I was a teenager, I have used Clearasil. Yes, Clearasil. I know I know. I thought it was good for me and my skin! Turns out, I was oh so wrong. Since using Angels, my skin has improved so much, with hardly any more break outs apart from hormonal monthly ones and a reduction in my oily face!
I switch between this and Catastrophe Cosmetic, but over summer I prefer this as my face becomes oilier during summer and this clears it right up, and even helps with the monthly hormonal break out!! I am suffering that time right now, and I have one tiniest of spots on my chin and that's it! This face mask is brilliant <3
I am a sucker for lovely smelling hair, and boy does this do the job. I think I lacked the money for a while, to buy this, so I went back to cheap hair stuff, but now I work, I can buy as much as this as I want and my hair smells AWESOME for a few days! It lasts aaaaaaaaages, and it makes my hair super soft!
I must say, I am in love with this. I've had it for ages, but I always forget about it till I wear it again and then I am like I LOVE YOU BBY NEVER LEAVE ME. I love it so much I have just ordered two more colours off the website. These are just so easy to make a lovely look on your eyes, so quick too! I wish they would make them in more colour combos!
That's it for my July favourites! What have been your favourite things to use this July? Have you tried any of these things? Drop me a comment!
STAY BEAUTIFUL

On The Cheap: Face masks!!
If you are anything like me, you love a good face mask!! Now, face masks can come in a variety of types and prices, and if you are like me too, you will be a cheap skate ha ha!
In this post I will be covering both home made and shop bought face masks that have worked for me and my friends!!
Personally, I loved using yoghurt and honey as a face mask!! I shall tell you about a few home made recipes me and my friends have tried!
One I tried was honey, milk and natural yoghurt! Now, when you make this mix, trust me, you don't need half as much as you think!! Only make a little bit, as it goes on quite thinly, but gives a good coverage. You might have to tilt your head back a bit as this mask can be quite runny! This is good for moisturising and also the honey helps with spots a little bit, as its antiseptic. That's why they say have some honey when you have a cough ;) This mask goes sticky after 5-10 minutes, so you won't have to worry too much about it running down your face the entire time its on!
I liked this mask as it was nice and moisturising and not harsh on my sometimes sensitive skin! It smelt delicious (please try not to eat your home made masks ;) ) and it was quick, easy and, most importantly, CHEAP.
| Here is a picture of me with it on, like a cool kid ;D |
Another home made mask that my friend made, on the same day, was one with strawberries! She just chopped up some raspberries very small and then mashed them up in a bowl, adding some honey to the mixture!! Once it was a good consistency, she smeared on her face! Now, I warn you, this one is sticky! But its very good for skin that breaks out, with the antioxidants from the strawberries, as well as the vitamins and minerals, and the antiseptic from the honey! This one also smells nice and it dries to a slight sticky consistency. Once washed off, her face was lovely and smooth and she said it felt really good!!
| 3 of us have home made masks and one has a shop bought ;) |
I know of a few types of mask, and as a Lush Lover, I do sometimes go for their face masks, but they aren't 'cheap' in the way we are looking at (though damn good value for money considering how many masks you can get out of them!)
Two of my favourite cheap face masks, that I buy from Superdrugs, are:
Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Masque |
Another mask I like to use on a Sunday, in my bath, apart from my Lush ones, are:
| Mudd Original Mask |
Now, I suggest you all try and make your own home made face mask, just once, whether its with your friends or alone, as its both fun and you know what's going into your mask!! And you can feel the benefits even from such simple ingredients! I suggest using a bit of honey in each mask, especially if you have spot prone skin! If you want to find some good home made mask recipes, go HERE. I love this website, I can spend hours trawling through it for ideas...so sad!
So, what do you think? Do you enjoy making home made masks? What's your favourite mask to use?
