Review! Make Up Academy Eye shadow Trio in Passion

Hey everybody!!

Today I will be bringing you a review on one of my favourite eye shadow trios, MUA Eye Shadow Trio in Passion!

This pretty purple offering from MUA has got me through some busy mornings where I only had five minutes left before I had to leave to catch the bus and wanted some colour on my eyes!

It's a trio of three colours, a pearly white shade, a lilac shade and a darker purple shade, perfect for base, lid colour and crease respectively! It is just so insanely easy to use, but it does have a mini diagram on the back showing you!! I pop the white colour all over, making sure I get under my brows as a highlight, then the lilac all over the lid and finishing with the darker purple colour in the crease!

This lovely little palette of happiness helps me in the mornings create a pretty and feminine look in no time flat and is portable enough to slip in to your hand bag! It does come with the little sponge applicators, which I like to use, but you can easily use your fingers or a brush.

The pigmentation, as you can see on my arm above, is darn good for a little product that only costs £2.50 and I think I may have to buy the entire collection as they are just so useful!! The colours blend well and have a shimmer to them, which is perfect for me as I love shimmery glittery shades!

Excuse the bad photo >_<
I think next I will buy the bronze one as now it is Autumn here and bronze shades are needed!!

Have you tried any MUA products? Did you like them?

Mini Haul! MUA Post!

Hey guys! Just a quick mini haul, as the postman delivered my MUA goodies today :D

I took advantage of the offer that MUA were doing where you could buy two of their Eyeshadow Trios for £4 (RRP £2.50) and you get a nail crackle free! I went for the Broken Arrow nail crackle and Eden and Blue Babe for the Trios, as I already have Passion and I am always super impressed with it!

Eden
Eden is a lovely greeny set, with a golden sheen to it

Blue Babe
Blue Babe has some really popping blues on it and the white colour has a gold sheen, where as the blues are more silvery

Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow is a rich purple with a slight shimmer too it, can't wait to try this!

Swatches and reviews will come soon!!

Have you tried any of these?

July Favourites!

Hellooo! I thought I would do a July Favourites, since I have seen them about but I have never done a monthly favourites post! This will probably be shorter than most, and I will be using stock photos as my camera is currently lacking battery and my charger is at home, but hopefully you will still enjoy it!

Angels on Bare Skin...this is definitely something sent from Heaven!! Since I was a teenager, I have used Clearasil. Yes, Clearasil. I know I know. I thought it was good for me and my skin! Turns out, I was oh so wrong. Since using Angels, my skin has improved so much, with hardly any more break outs apart from hormonal monthly ones and a reduction in my oily face!

I switch between this and Catastrophe Cosmetic, but over summer I prefer this as my face becomes oilier during summer and this clears it right up, and even helps with the monthly hormonal break out!! I am suffering that time right now, and I have one tiniest of spots on my chin and that's it! This face mask is brilliant <3

I am a sucker for lovely smelling hair, and boy does this do the job. I think I lacked the money for a while, to buy this, so I went back to cheap hair stuff, but now I work, I can buy as much as this as I want and my hair smells AWESOME for a few days! It lasts aaaaaaaaages, and it makes my hair super soft!

I must say, I am in love with this. I've had it for ages, but I always forget about it till I wear it again and then I am like I LOVE YOU BBY NEVER LEAVE ME. I love it so much I have just ordered two more colours off the website. These are just so easy to make a lovely look on your eyes, so quick too! I wish they would make them in more colour combos!

That's it for my July favourites! What have been your favourite things to use this July? Have you tried any of these things? Drop me a comment!

Superdrugs Haul! MUA make up!

Hey guys, here is a mini haul post, from when I ordered some goodies off Superdrugs! I fancied a bit of new make up from MUA so I thought I would order some! Now, I have a love of bright colours, so I needed to order the Poptastic palette ;D I also wanted to try their new Lip Booms just to see what they were like! I also ordered a MUA Felt tip liner, to see what they were like for the ole cat flick!

Here is the box, exciting stuff!
I kinda opened the box before I took a photo, over eagerness haha!

Hello Alexandra!
I'm not sure if the Simple face wash is a freebie or a mishap...but I kinda forgot to email Superdrugs! I only ever use LUSH facial wash so I am not sure what to do with it...
All my stuff!

A few examples of what the lip booms look like and also some experimenting with the pen! Its very easy to use and produces a lovely line! The lip booms look interesting too, reviews to come!

Have you bought any lovely make up recently? Let me know!

Now, when you are short of money, you still want to look beautiful, right? Here is where MUA step in! Each one of these lipsticks only cost £1 EACH!! They have two ranges, a £1 range with a lovely range of items, and a Pro range, where they are priced higher, but everything is cheaper than £5!!

From the £1 range you can pick up:
Eye dusts
Liquid Eye Liner
Face Powder
Blusher
Nail Polish
Mascara
Glitter Eye Liner

Eye shadow

Lipgloss Tube
And of course the lipsticks!!
All of the above products are only £1 each!! And they all come with a great range of colours and shades, as you can tell by the lipsticks! MUA is brilliant if you want lovely cheap make up, and can be bought on the superdrugs website!

There are other cheap make up brands too that you can check out, like ELF, which I haven't tried personally, but I have heard great reviews about!!

Beauty Post! Make Up Academy MUA Lipsticks Ahoy!

Hello there girlies!! Since I am just getting back into blogging after a while off, I am going a bit slow :P Though doing quite well, I think! Thursday are usually beauty reviews, but I was very busy yesterday cleaning!! So I have pushed it back till today (and am glossing completely over the issue of my diet and weight ;) )

So today, I will be doing a quick (well, I say quick at the beginning...) review of the MUA lipsticks I own! There is 13 in the collection and I believe I own 11 of them, so most of them! I LOVE MUA, so much!! They are so cheap (all these lipsticks are a £1) and they are very good value for money!

As you can see, they are a very good range of pinks and reds!! Perfect for me, who is not that daring with colours (I only just bought a lavender lipstick in the past month, as you saw a few blogs back!) and these are perfect for me! I believe they all suit me, but you never know if thats just me being hopeful ahaha ;)

Heres what they look like on my arm (if you want to see a certain colour on my lips, please ask!):
Shades: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13
If you asked me my favourite, I would not be able to tell you D: I like them ALLLLLL. I would say my top five are: 12, 5, 3, 7 and 13!! Not always in that order, keh keh keh, my mind changes so much!

So I will be doing a mini review on each one, in order, starting wiiithhh:

Shade 2:
I might of accidently squashed the top, ekekekek
First one on the left
Shade 2 is a lovely plumy red colour, and I believe the first MUA lipstick I bought, as I wanted to try the brand and try a lipstick in a similar colour to a GOSH lipbalm I had! It goes on really nicely and can be a little sheer on the first application, but colour can be built nicely with layers! The swatch above is a one swipe application, so you can see it is reasonable in pigmentation! It stays on quite well, but is prone to drinking and   eating wear and tear! It doesn't have any sparkles, and is a little bit matte, but mainly shiney!

Shade 3:

Second from left
Shade 3 is a bright punchy pink! I love this shade for a pop of colour on my lips! It goes on nicely, and is very pigmented! Its quite shiny but not glittery and it has staying power, but same as most of them, it can fade while eating and drinking!

Shade 4:
May of also got squished :P
Third from left
This shade is lovely if you want a subtle pink sheen to your lips. This is a couple of applications and goes on your lips quite sheer, giving it a pink tint. Its very shiny and if you like subtle light pink lips, this is for you!! It has no glitter in it, but is a such a pretty and girly colour! Great if you want to wear something but don't want it to be too OUT THERE! This needs application a bit more than the darker shades.

Shade 5:

Fourth from left
I love this shade! Its a very pale and pink glittery lipstick! When applied, it goes on nice and sheer, adding a very subtle pink colour and a punch of tiny silver flecks of glitter!! It is very pretty if you want a subtle glittery colour on your lips!!

Shade 6:
First on the left (ignore the glittery one to the left of it, barely seen, thats just shade 5)
This colour is a good my lips but better colour (especially on my mum!) Its a more rose coloured pink, a bit darker but quite sheer when applied to lips, above is one application. Its pretty if you just want a subtle colour on your lips, if you have lips the same colour as me and my mum that is ahah! I think this is the kinda, one shade suits all lipstick, as me and my mum have very different complexions, I am very pale and shes very tan (her dad, my granddad, was Pakistani. I took after my very english dads side :C ) Staying power is good, it is shiny, but falls victim to food and drink.

Shade 7:

Orange colour, 2nd from left
This colour is a the orange toned pink of the range :D Its a lovely orangey pink, not too orange to scare off those who want to try orange but nothing OTT. It is quite pigmented but is very pretty, and quite a pale orange on the lips. Its shiny, but not glittery and has quite good staying power, but falls victim to food and drink!

Shade 8:

3rd from left
This colour is a lovely deep rosey red colour and is good if you want quite a obvious colour on your lips, but still one that goes with your natural lip colour!! Its a great glittery shade too, with a good spread of golden flecks of glitter! This is a brilliant shade for going out, when you want a nice red with a bit extra, and those golden flecks add a lot to it! I do love this shade and wear it out even if I am not going any where special! It can be quite long lasting and slightly resistant to food and drink

Shade 9:

4th from left
Shade 9 is a lovely rose coloured bronze lipstick! Its another great my lips but better colour and goes on a little sheer, but a nice pigmentation for what it is. Its a lovely shiny consistency. I haven't worn this one so much yet (I have over 21 lipsticks hur hur hur I don't rotate them as much as I should...) so I am not too sure on how long it lasts!

Shade 10:
3rd from right
Shade 10 is a great sheer darker shade if you just want a coating on your lips of colour, but don't want to much. Its a lovely dark rose colour and has a great sheen to it. Its brilliant for when you are on the go and just want to apply a quick coat, as it adds a nice sheer colour to your lips, good for work!! Its longevity is OKAAAY, but could be better, and doesn't stay on after eating and drinking!

Shade 12:
I love this one :')
2nd from right
I LOVE THIS COLOUR, its one of my very favourites!! Its a pale but bright pink with LOTS OF GLITTER AND SPARKLE!! The glitter is silver and really pops out (as you can see in the swatch) and looks great on a night out!! I need to stock up on more of these! Its very long lasting and falls a little bit victim to food and drink!

Shade 13:
The shade that never comes off my arm...
1st on the right
As you can see, Shade 13 is a very subtle shade of red 8D I am joking, of course, its the brightest red EVER!! Its a GREAT shade if you love punchy bright reds, this is only one swish with the stick!! Pops really nicely on pale skins and is the most long wearing out of all of them, even surviving the most with food and drink (though some fading occurs) Its still visible on my arm after rubbing it off for ten minutes!!

All the lipsticks have a nice smell to the them, if you are worried about smell. Its a subtle vanilla type smell, its very pleasant! These lipsticks aren't drying that much either, but still remember to put lip balm on before application!

Heres my full range of lipsticks for those who are interested:

Hope you enjoyed my sort of review :D
