Beauty Post! Make Up Academy MUA Lipsticks Ahoy!

Hello there girlies!! Since I am just getting back into blogging after a while off, I am going a bit slow :P Though doing quite well, I think! Thursday are usually beauty reviews, but I was very busy yesterday cleaning!! So I have pushed it back till today (and am glossing completely over the issue of my diet and weight ;) )

So today, I will be doing a quick (well, I say quick at the beginning...) review of the MUA lipsticks I own! There is 13 in the collection and I believe I own 11 of them, so most of them! I LOVE MUA, so much!! They are so cheap (all these lipsticks are a £1) and they are very good value for money!

As you can see, they are a very good range of pinks and reds!! Perfect for me, who is not that daring with colours (I only just bought a lavender lipstick in the past month, as you saw a few blogs back!) and these are perfect for me! I believe they all suit me, but you never know if thats just me being hopeful ahaha ;)

Heres what they look like on my arm (if you want to see a certain colour on my lips, please ask!):
Shades: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13
If you asked me my favourite, I would not be able to tell you D: I like them ALLLLLL. I would say my top five are: 12, 5, 3, 7 and 13!! Not always in that order, keh keh keh, my mind changes so much!

So I will be doing a mini review on each one, in order, starting wiiithhh:

Shade 2:
I might of accidently squashed the top, ekekekek
First one on the left
Shade 2 is a lovely plumy red colour, and I believe the first MUA lipstick I bought, as I wanted to try the brand and try a lipstick in a similar colour to a GOSH lipbalm I had! It goes on really nicely and can be a little sheer on the first application, but colour can be built nicely with layers! The swatch above is a one swipe application, so you can see it is reasonable in pigmentation! It stays on quite well, but is prone to drinking and   eating wear and tear! It doesn't have any sparkles, and is a little bit matte, but mainly shiney!

Shade 3:

Second from left
Shade 3 is a bright punchy pink! I love this shade for a pop of colour on my lips! It goes on nicely, and is very pigmented! Its quite shiny but not glittery and it has staying power, but same as most of them, it can fade while eating and drinking!

Shade 4:
May of also got squished :P
Third from left
This shade is lovely if you want a subtle pink sheen to your lips. This is a couple of applications and goes on your lips quite sheer, giving it a pink tint. Its very shiny and if you like subtle light pink lips, this is for you!! It has no glitter in it, but is a such a pretty and girly colour! Great if you want to wear something but don't want it to be too OUT THERE! This needs application a bit more than the darker shades.

Shade 5:

Fourth from left
I love this shade! Its a very pale and pink glittery lipstick! When applied, it goes on nice and sheer, adding a very subtle pink colour and a punch of tiny silver flecks of glitter!! It is very pretty if you want a subtle glittery colour on your lips!!

Shade 6:
First on the left (ignore the glittery one to the left of it, barely seen, thats just shade 5)
This colour is a good my lips but better colour (especially on my mum!) Its a more rose coloured pink, a bit darker but quite sheer when applied to lips, above is one application. Its pretty if you just want a subtle colour on your lips, if you have lips the same colour as me and my mum that is ahah! I think this is the kinda, one shade suits all lipstick, as me and my mum have very different complexions, I am very pale and shes very tan (her dad, my granddad, was Pakistani. I took after my very english dads side :C ) Staying power is good, it is shiny, but falls victim to food and drink.

Shade 7:

Orange colour, 2nd from left
This colour is a the orange toned pink of the range :D Its a lovely orangey pink, not too orange to scare off those who want to try orange but nothing OTT. It is quite pigmented but is very pretty, and quite a pale orange on the lips. Its shiny, but not glittery and has quite good staying power, but falls victim to food and drink!

Shade 8:

3rd from left
This colour is a lovely deep rosey red colour and is good if you want quite a obvious colour on your lips, but still one that goes with your natural lip colour!! Its a great glittery shade too, with a good spread of golden flecks of glitter! This is a brilliant shade for going out, when you want a nice red with a bit extra, and those golden flecks add a lot to it! I do love this shade and wear it out even if I am not going any where special! It can be quite long lasting and slightly resistant to food and drink

Shade 9:

4th from left
Shade 9 is a lovely rose coloured bronze lipstick! Its another great my lips but better colour and goes on a little sheer, but a nice pigmentation for what it is. Its a lovely shiny consistency. I haven't worn this one so much yet (I have over 21 lipsticks hur hur hur I don't rotate them as much as I should...) so I am not too sure on how long it lasts!

Shade 10:
3rd from right
Shade 10 is a great sheer darker shade if you just want a coating on your lips of colour, but don't want to much. Its a lovely dark rose colour and has a great sheen to it. Its brilliant for when you are on the go and just want to apply a quick coat, as it adds a nice sheer colour to your lips, good for work!! Its longevity is OKAAAY, but could be better, and doesn't stay on after eating and drinking!

Shade 12:
I love this one :')
2nd from right
I LOVE THIS COLOUR, its one of my very favourites!! Its a pale but bright pink with LOTS OF GLITTER AND SPARKLE!! The glitter is silver and really pops out (as you can see in the swatch) and looks great on a night out!! I need to stock up on more of these! Its very long lasting and falls a little bit victim to food and drink!

Shade 13:
The shade that never comes off my arm...
1st on the right
As you can see, Shade 13 is a very subtle shade of red 8D I am joking, of course, its the brightest red EVER!! Its a GREAT shade if you love punchy bright reds, this is only one swish with the stick!! Pops really nicely on pale skins and is the most long wearing out of all of them, even surviving the most with food and drink (though some fading occurs) Its still visible on my arm after rubbing it off for ten minutes!!

All the lipsticks have a nice smell to the them, if you are worried about smell. Its a subtle vanilla type smell, its very pleasant! These lipsticks aren't drying that much either, but still remember to put lip balm on before application!

Heres my full range of lipsticks for those who are interested:

Hope you enjoyed my sort of review :D

Living on the Cheap: Need to remove that make up?

Welcome to the first edition of Living on the Cheap!! In these weekly Monday editions I shall be writing about solutions I have found when money is extremely low and you can only survive on beans and noodles. But you don't have to let your beauty regime suffer! This is especially good for students, with whom I know money can be sparse sometimes and every penny counts!!

This first edition shall be about removing your make up, for no more than 99p!
Now, I often do not have much money as, at the moment, I do not have a job! So I have to try cheaper things to see how they react to my skin and see how well they work. It was one night, when I realised I had run out of Nivea wipes, to clean my make up off, when I turned to these to try and see if they worked. And like magic, my make up was removed and no reaction happen upon my face. Now some of you money savvy ladies might of already picked up on this wonder, and some of you may think WHAT THE DEVIL! But do TRUST ME. I have used these constantly and they work just as well as expensive wipes! The cost 99p for 80, can get in lightly fragranced or no fragrance and they are quite obviously for sensitive skin. Why do I say obviously? Because they are baby wipes. Yup, pure and simple, baby wipes, bought from Superdrugs.
These are the exact ones I use
Now if you are thinking, EHHHH?! Then hear me out. They are obviously for sensitive skin, they are BABY wipes, made for babies bums! So they won't dry out your skin or cause a rash (I have sensitive skin and haven't had a reaction ONCE to these!) and they DO remove make up easily, even my Este Lauder mascara! Even my Bobbi Brown Gel liner! And you get EIGHTY for 99p (or £1.01 on the website, see here), as opposed to 25 for £3, or however much the other ones are! I got them at my local Superdrugs, and have a packet at my dads and a packet at my mums. They are useful for cleaning of most things off your skin and are very handy to have about! The lightly fragranced ones smell very gentle and is quite a nice smell, but as I said, there are none fragranced ones to try!
Now I know some of you might turn your nose up at this and stick to your more expensive proper facial wipes as, we are humans and we do not like change. But I do implore you to just pop to your local Superdrugs, pop down a £1 and take home a packet of these as one night, they might save face!! ;D
Now if you are a foreign lovely (foreign to me that is) then try out your local drugstores own brand baby wipes! I really think everyone should give baby wipes a try as a cheap alternative to 'proper' facial wipes!

I will answer all the lovely comments you ladies have been leaving me tomorrow, I do love my followers, especially Ice Pandora, Hello Naka, a!ko and Harlow Darling <33
