Wednesday Fashions ~ What will I be buying this S/S?

Hi guys! Its Wednesday, so that means, its fashion day! And today I will show you examples of the kind of thing that I will be purchasing over the Spring/Summer season!! I don't follow fashions, just what I love and what suits me!! So lets go on shall we!!

Shoes ~ Wedges!
I only have three pairs of wedges (boo) but I plan to buy more *evil laugh*. I love wedges, they are just so comfy, yet you can get them in tall heels and not risk wobbling!! I only have open toed wedges, so I will be looking to buy a couple of closed toe wedges for those days where you need tights, or there are puddles! As you may of seen in my last post, I have my eye on these babies:

And I WILL be buying them in two weeks time, as I definitely want them!! There have been some things I have seen and wanted at that moment, but a week or so later, am not that bothered about any more. SO Frugal February is helping me save money greatly!! But these wedgies, are definitely mine baby ;D

Bags ~ Beach Bags
This is also linking into a trend I will be loading up on, which is floral!! I have not really had any proper straw beach bag style, or seen any that I like, till I saw THIIIIS

Ooooo its so floral and floaty and straw like!! I love it!! And for only £16.99 from New Look, thats not too bad!! Its a good size too and has inside pockets for your phone and things, so I want this for beach trips!! I will be buying this in March too! Definitely!!

Dresses ~ Maxi
Last year, I discovered my love of Maxi dresses. This year, MY LOVE LIVES ON. I have four maxi dresses, but one I put away for just summer, the other three doing their rotations through my weekly wardrobes!! And luckily for me, maxi dresses have burst back into the S/S collections in shops so I am a happy Kitty! I have seen a few maxi dresses I love, I like em floaty, especially this one from Monsoon:
Its so lovely, especially in real life, but at £140 its a bit pricey, but I am sure there are many more a bit more affordable dresses in shops!!

Trend ~ Lace
Its not just floral and floaty I am going for this S/S, I still have a love for lace. Oooo frilly lacy pretty nudey dresses you do smite me with your girlyness. I saw some lovely things in H&M and Next recently, but I do adore this jacket in pale pink (its in shops, but the colour doesn't appear to be online so heres the grey version)
It even has bow detail. Hnngggggg. Must resist!!! I think this might be a maybe item, if I can find another lace jacket that I love more (and that might be cheaper) then I shall go for that instead ;D

So there is what I will be looking for this S/S
What will you be looking to buying or wearing in the next two seasons?(since I know there are some A/W ladies in the Southern Hemisphere out there ;D )

West Quays and Temptation!

Today, as you may of read in my Tuesday outfit post, that I went to West Quay's in Southampton! (See my Outfit and Look of the Day Here). I live near Portsmouth, so it was about a 40 minute journey in the car. The weather was horrible, cloudy and wet, which was why we went to West Quay, as opposed to Chichester!
The first thing I saw when I got there was the newish Ikea. It was HUUGGGEEEEEEE. My photo holds it no justice!
This was about 1pm, SO GRIM
So big and blue and BIG. Did I mention it was big? I've only ever been to an Ikea once. I haven't gone in this one yet, but good god do I want too!!
Once we were parked up, we decided to get lunch first, to build up the energy to shop!! I immediately spotted Yo!Sushi and grabbed (my mum paid for) a Yo!To Go Fish Roll box and an orange juice:
You can just see my Cath Kidston phone case, I will tell you about that later in the week. But omg the sushi was noiiiice. I am not sure what the fish was, one was definitely crab sticks, but the other I wasn't sure. Think it was Tuna? What ever it was, it was so nice!! My mum just got a McDonalds and a cuppa. I kept the mini bottle of soy sauce, I always do ;D
We hit the shops, the first shop being Dorothy Perkins, because my mum had seen some shoes in another Dorothy Perkins and wanted to see if this store had them in her size. I decided to see if they had any closed toe wedges, preferably lace up ones. AND LO AND BEHOLD:
Oh £42 of beigey lace upy wedgey goodness, why must I find you, March is not till next month! SO I MUST RESIST. Thats right ladies and gentlemen. I HAVE NOT BOUGHT THEM. Yet. Frugal February shall be till the end!
We browsed Next, where I made my mum try on a dress she was dubious about, but looked really nice on. Then she bought it and the matching jacket and another jacket and skirt set (she has a lot of interviews and training presentations to present. She needs suits) which she said she wouldn't of even tried on if I wasn't there to encourage her. Just call me Gok Wan kekekekeke. I did see some lovely things in H&M and New Look, especially a really pretty summer bag I have my eye on, this one. I WANT IT SO BAD. But I must once again wait, wait till March.
From the top floor of West Quay's, before we began shopping. I swear they put the food on the top floor so you work up an appetite as you make your way up!
Towards the end of the trip, I spied Millies Cookies, then Dream Cupcakes. I went for the cupcake!
I'd already taked off most of the icing to eat by the time I remembered a photo! It was a Tutti Frutti Cupcake, blueberry frosting and multi-coloured vanilla sponge. It was so petty inside!
Look how bright the colours are!!!

So I went shopping, but resisted buying temptation!! My mum bought me the cupcake ;D And it is Tea and Cake Tuesday, so I wasn't naughty for having the cupcake either! Woo hoo! Hopefully I can get those things I wanted, in March! Especially those shoes!!

Things to do on a ME Day!

BEFORE I START, I would like to credit the lovely Rae, from Sickbunny for this blog, and the ideas are mostly taken from the blog that should be found HERE if the link goes well haha! This is basically my own twist on it! And don't worry, I got her permission first!!

Every one should have a ME day once a week. For me, its Sunday. Sometimes I add an extra one on Tuesday, but its mostly Sundays. I HEAR BY MAKE IT LAW TO EVERYONE TO HAVE A ME DAY.
And heres some things you can do to make your me day you! I do some of these things, some of the things I took from Rae's post!

One: Watch Favourites in Bed

I love it when a plan comes together
I love watching TV or films in bed, how about you? And what a perfect thing to do on a You Day than relax on your bed, with a cuppa or hot chocolate, and watch your favourites!! Personally, I will be watching Ghost Rider today in bed! 9pm, Channel 5 for those in England. I usually leave my laptop alone when doing this, and just enjoy the film!

Two: Play A Game!

Beat those stress trolls!
In the world of electronics, we all usually have some sort of gaming platform in our possession, from a phone, to your laptop/PC to the current gen consoles. I personally have my DS and Xbox 360 to game on, and I find  even fifteen minutes of Dragonquest on my DS is soothing to my soul. I find games like DQ and Fable 3 and Final Fantasy (any apart from the MMO's ) to be the most soothing as I can get out my frustrations in life by beating up monsters and baddies!! It may sound geeky, but gaming is a good stress reliever!

Three: Bake!

Nom nom nom
I love to bake. LOVEEEE. And making your own little pieces of nommy is extremely satisfying! Make that cake that you haven't dared try yet! Bake a batch of cupcakes and shake with friends over a cuppa! I suggest hand whisking, as now I am hooked on it as you can beat out any stress and you have to concentrate on the whisking, rather than anything stressful around you!

Four: Get Creative!

Draw anything that makes you happy!
Write. Draw. Sew. Glue. Anything! Take some time to make something pretty. I like to write and draw and also it can be productive if you want to finish something creative off ;D I have many self inflicted art projects that I like to doodle and sketch through the week!

Five: Paint your nails

001110101010110
I paint my finger nails Mondays, so I do my toes on Sundays! Painting your nails is so girly and I don't know about you, but painting my nails a lovely colour always brings a smile to my face, even during the week when ever I see them!

Six: Take a Long Bubble Bath!

Make up and hair ribbon are optional.
DO THIS. If you do just one thing from this list DO THIS. At 8pm or when ever you have time in the evening, run the hot tap, go over board with the bubbles, even chuck in a Lush ballistic or other brand melt, and relax among the fluffy bubbly fragrances and do what ever you want. I like to apply a fifteen minute mask and shave my legs personally. And read. Reading in the bath is a must. If you like candles, light some fragranced candles. Like music? Bring a portable music player with speakers (like a radio) and play some music or tune into your favourite radio station. This bath time is YOURS and yours alone. Frisky baths with the other half are for  other days ;D

Seven: Read a Book

Or read many books. Its up to you!
Sitting some where comfy and reading a book you love, or exploring a new book, is love. At the moment I read 'How to Walk In High Heels' during the day, an old favourite book of mine, read it if you haven't, and will be starting 'Inkheart' tonight for an hour before sleep. I love digging in to a good book right before bed, I sleep better!

Eight: Go for a Walk or Bike Ride (weather permitting)

Wish it was sunny all the time!
I wouldn't suggest going for a walk up a big hill like I did last Saturday, as those things aren't for everyone, but just being out and about for half an hour or more in the fresh air makes you happy. Especially if you aren't walking anywhere in particular. Or bike riding. I love riding my bike in Summer, but I've only ever gone for a walk in Winter. Perhaps I should try my bike too!!

Nine: Write a Blog

Anywhere anytime!
You don't even need to publish it. Just write some things down that you would want to share, even if you only jot them down in a journal, maybe to share for another day. Sharing your thoughts and feelings on the interwebs may seem a bit daunting, but most people out there are actual darlings and you shouldn't be scared of them!

Ten: Dance like Crazy to Your Favourite Music

Friend optional
Jigging around in your room, even for ten minutes, can be so much fun and also counts towards a little bit of exercise ;D I like singing and dancing along to Disney songs personally as theres nothing more uplifting than your favourite childhood film!

Eleven: Tidy up some Clutter

My room never looks this tidy..
Now, I know what you are saying. Hang on a minute Kitty, tidying isn't relaxing!! BUT WAIT. You know that feeling when you've tidied up that bit of clutter you've put of for ages, and now it looks all nice and neat? Thats a GOOD feeling, isn't it! SO embraaace it and you will feel much better not having to worry about that untidy bit.

Twelve: Make a schedule for the Week

Make your own, its more fun!
Another groan I hear?! Well, don't you just hate when you don't know what you are doing or you haven't got anything done that you wanted. Planning out your week will help that! You can get things sorted just by doing this in half an hour. You can even make your schedules pretty (I will show you tomorrow) by using different colours! Pin it up somewhere you can see it everyday, and you will know exactly what you should be doing and when! Useful if you often forget appointments and things!

Things I suggest NOT to do on a YOU Day:

  • Watch the news. Bleh, always boring or depressing anyways. You can always catch up tomorrow
  • Stress about stuff. That stuff will still be there Monday, don't worry about it today!
  • Force yourself to do anything. If you don't feel like it, don't do it! I don't do everything on this list every Sunday!
  • Get up early if you can help it. I have one day a week an alarm doesn't wake me up. Sunday is it!
  • Go shopping. I don't suggest doing this at the weekend at all. I loathe week end shopping crowds. My fav day to go is Thursdays or Tuesdays
  • Diet. Eat the hell what you want, as long as you aren't shoving ten full sized chocolate sponges, I am sure it won't hurt your diet.
I hope you liked my list and thanks again to Rae for letting me pinch her ideas and for thinking this up in the first place!! Remember to check out her blog!!

The Week In Photos 20/02

Welcome to my first "The Week In Photos" post!! I'm really bad remembering to take a photo every day (due to the fact I had no batteries for my camera so had to do it with my phone) so we only have four photos for todays installment!! Soooo, lets go!!

Saturday 12th February

My dad ventured the idea that we go for a walk since it was mean't to be nice on Saturday. So we went for a walk. UP THIS HILL. Blimey my lungs got a good work out! My legs, which I think have improved from swimming and exercise, didn't really hurt till the day after, where as before January, they would of been burning! My lungs took longer to get burny and things as well. In fact, the only reason I kept stopping, was because I was getting dizzy which made me nauseous. After walking up the hill, we walked across the top of it and along to a valley called Grandfathers Bottom, which we walked along the top of and back again, then back down the hill. Phew, it was a work out and a half!

Sunday 13th February

Sunday, I decided to make cupcakes!! Hand whisked and everything, no electrics ;D Check out my dads old school scales to the right there. Here you can see all the ingredients and equipment I was using. I was making red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting! NOM NOM NOM.

Monday 14th February

The main bulk of the cupcakes I made were for my friend, since she had a 'surprise' for me, which turned out to be this cute cupcake stand!! Now I must make cupcakes as much as possible so I can set them out on it!! Check out my messing frosting application ;D Its cause I don't have a palette knife or a piping bag!

Thursday 17th February

Me and my friend Yasmine met up today, since we hadn't seen each other in ages! And when me and Yasmine meet up, CRAZINESS HAPPENS. We are both as hyper and giggly as each other!! And one thing we like doing is wearing massive sized bras on our heads in Asda! As well as dancing in Superdrugs and boogying at our table at lunch!

So I hope you enjoyed seeing a couple of days of my life last week, now I have batteries for my camera I WILL remember to take at least one photo everyday!
