Edinburgh City and food!

WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY POST

You have been warned :P This post is about all the love buildings I saw and all the lovely food I ate over the weekend! Sorry if this makes you want to go to Edinburgh (I'll come with you!) and/or makes you hungry!!

First off, a bit of food pron for you! We stayed in the Holiday Inn, which is literally, right next to the zoo, like, you walk out of the reception, turn left, and walk into the zoo close!! The hotel has this really nice oriental restaurant that served delicious food, while over looking the Chinese restaurant across the road, haha! But the food was genuinely delicious, ohm nom nom!

After all that, I was so stuffed, I didn't stop feeling sick for a few hours, though I still managed to eat a fortune cookie, whoop! I love fortune cookies!! Though in the morning I did manage to take advantage of the breakfast buffet by having toast and jam, a butter croissant and frosties with plenty of juice! Sunday morning we woke up to this:

Snow!

It didn't last though, and in the course of walking about, it snowed, rained, sleeted and hailed!! Talk about mix up of weather! Make up your mind! Turns out Sunday was also the Scotland VS Ireland game, at the stadium just down the road!! So breakfast was packed haha, and traffic was a pain getting into town, but it wasn't too bad and I got a photo of Murryfields!

If you haven't been to Edinburgh, and you love beautiful buildings, YOU HAVE TO GO. I need to go again to explore more and take ALL THE PHOTOS!! I didn't get a chance to go to old town, which will be done next! We didn't have time to actually GO to the castle, so that is to be done next time too! I adore that last photo, it just came out so well for a phone photo *blubs with happiness* The first castle photo is also my cover photo, because the castle is awesome and I want to go there!
I am warning you now, you will need energy walking up and down all the hills and stairs in Edinburgh, and in the zoo, so before going to the airport, it was time for a toilet break and cake!

Look at all that cake, so much choice!! Limited choice in the end due to Lent, and not being able to eat chocolate, haha! I went for the Strawberry cheesecake cupcake and a peppermint tea to tide me by till dinner! This place was IN A WATERSTONES. IF THERE IS ONE REASON TO GO BACK, IT IS THIS WATERSTONES

AND TO TRY ALL THE YUMMY CAKE

We ate dinner at the airport, which was a very filling fish and chips with peas and onion rings! Then it was a quick hour and a bit flight, and boom, back in Hampshire and home again!

Edinburgh was so good, I can't wait to go back again! Need to save up so I can, I want to go to the zoo, the castle, old town, Waterstones, EVERY WHERE

Hi there! Today I will doing a quick mini review on Mooncake corner! I love this little shop, run by a lovely little asian lady who is pretty and amazing and Lolita, all at the same time (and totally not my friend...)

Fashion Voucher £50 Boohoo challenge!

I recently saw a few blog posts dedicated too this and since I like BooHoo's clothes, I decided too give this a try!

Over at Fashion Vouchers, they have this fabulous competition going on where you could win a £50 BooHoo voucher! (Yes, this is the day of competitions haha!) All you have too do is create an outfit, using BooHoos clothes, for £50! Not one too turn her nose up at a good competition, I decided too open up BooHoo and see what kind of outfit I could piece together, mainly from the clearance!

With Autumn approaching, I decided too go for a look that was slightly more covered up! My thoughts went along the line of comfy, with splashes of colour and a nice pair of boots. I love boots!

I wanted too do a short dress and leggings look, because sometimes they can look really good. Although I am going off plain black leggings a little, I do like patterned leggings, but have never really tried them (yet). I went with a simple and pretty dress (£15) with these colourful and pretty flowery leggings (£6). I wanted too add a contrasting print scarf, and found this nice one for £3. Scarves are vital in Autumn! I am sucker for cinching in the waist line, so I found this lovely belt for £6 that went nicely with the boots I liked the most (£20). All of the items apart from the boots were on the sale pages, and I would consider buying all of them! I really want too try those leggings just too see if patterned leggings suit me haha!!

Evening Look ~ Make Up Class

Hey guys! Some of you might know that I currently am on a course at college doing Beauty Therapy Sciences Level 3, first year! In this course we learn all sorts of salon treatments; manicures, pedicures, massage, eye treatments, waxing and make up! On Fridays, we are doing make up at the moment and this Friday, we practised an evening look. Now, we take turns every lesson, so some lessons I am the model and others, I am the MUA!

This Friday I was the MUA and my lovely friend Alison was my model! I decided to go with a slightly bronze look, building up browns of varying shades and a touch of black in the corners. It's not too out there, but its stand out enough to be evening make up!! On her lips I mixed a coral shade with a sheer pink over the top and a touch of highlighter on her cupids bow.

We have to practise coverage and techniques, so we apply concealer, foundation, shader and highlighter, blusher/bronzer, eye shadow, eye liner (which I used a touch of on the outer corners), mascara, eye brow pencil and lipstick. Applying make up on some one else is harder than it looks, but I think I did well with this look and its fun doing it!! Next week some one else is working on me, so you will get a photo of my face and what ever she does to it, haha ;)

Fashion in July

Hello girlies!! I have decided, in July, NOT to spend any money on first hand clothes and accessories. This means for the month of July, I will be hitting ebay and charity stores and seeing what I can get for under a fiver (£5) each time! I will be sticking to my £20 monthly clothes and accessories limit, so I am going to see  how much I can get for my money! Wish me luck!!!!

For now, I shall show you the kinda things I am liking this summer and I will choose things from ebay to link too!!

Maxi Dresses!

I love maxi dresses, since before they were 'trendy' (hey, check right back to two years ago on this blog and you can see me in a red chinese print maxi dress!) and am always on the look out for new ones! I love floral prints, from in your face florals to ditzy florals!! Anything with flowers, mainly dresses, makes me think of tea outside, picnics and old timey english! I am mainly a dress person at the moment anyways, prefering them to trousers and skirts, so a floaty, floral maxi dress I could drool over all day, though I don't mind the shorter dresses either to flounce about in ;D And believe me, I do a lot of flouncing! As you probably guessed, by my love of florals and floaty maxis, I probably like lace too ;D Not that I am girly or anything, hahaha! Nothing more girly than a good lacy dress!! Fashion Wednesday 2/2/11

Hai guys! In the past week I have come down with a cold and it makes me unbearably whiny (as you might notice sometimes if you follow my twitter) BUT I have found pictures for todays blog SO IMA DO IT ANYWAYS. Despite dying from the evil cold of doom.

Since I am dying, I shall  probably not say too much about each outfit hur hur hur

With this one I love the jewelry and the top (perhaps its a dress? That would be even more awesome) I love the gold them and the beading on the top, and the pastelly salmon pink colour, its definitely something I would wear!

I love how simple this outfit is but still looks so nice!! I want those boots, I love heeled lace up boots like that!! And the top is just so floaty and girly I want one for summer!!

The more I see shorts like these, the more I want some!! But I am just not sure if those kind of fabricy flowy shorts would suit me!! I do so want a pair, so in March, I might try and buy some!! I also love the blouse in this, I love blouses like that, they are so feminine and pretty!! Oh, and I love her hair ;D

I can't work out if this is a top/skirt combo or a dress, but I WANT it!! Oh dotty goodness, please come to me with your  almost see through armed companion and pretty patternd tights. I think thats a cowboy hat though, and you do not look good on me so I do not need you! The hair, how ever, I will have too haha!

Okay thats it for today, I'm gonna get changed into my PJs and sit in my bed and watch Disney films and play on my Xbox, cause I am ill and I am allowed!!
