Revisiting My Roots

Hello everyone! How have you been? I have been very well, I am at my dads at the moment! This week, I have done a few exciting things, but today I am going to talk about what I did yesterday!

I was set in for a relatively boring Saturday, with it being the beginning of the football season, so I was expecting my Dad to have Sky Sports on all day! I called for help on Facebook, but since it was so late minute, no one had time to come down to town with me!
Then came a surprising event; my dad said "Fancy a walk around Emsworth?" I was shocked! I, of course, accepted, and we got in the car and headed down the dual carriage way to Emsworth, a small sailing town on the South Coast. It was lovely down there, albeit a bit windy! The people were out in force and there was a lot of sailing going on!

We pulled up in the car park and set off down a little covered pathway that bordered a Nature Reserve.
It almost looked like a magical bridge into Narnia or some other fantastical place! It was so pretty, its a shame I wasn't wearing proper shoes to go tramping about in mud and through low bushes! So we carried on over the bridge, heading towards the main part of the town. I snapped a couple of pictures of the nature reserve on the way!
That was the path that lead deeper into the Nature Reserve! It really did look like a path into a fantasy land, and I was dissapointed we couldn't go that way! Next time, trousers and trainers! As we walked down the path, this black bird popped out of the bushes and flew to the path to eat a blackberry! It didn't fly off till we were really close, then watched us go past as he sat on the fence! Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of him as he was moving about too much! But I did get a good picture of the blackberries, which are starting to ripen up at the moment!
My dad tried one, but they aren't quite ripe enough yet!!
After walking down a covered pathway for a few minutes, it began to open up onto a wild field, then onto a pond, and the main road started to appear on the right! Houses came into view and we knew we were near the main part of town now!
Now, the houses in Emsworth are more than likely, very expensive!! A lot of older retired sailors live here!
Once we reached the main road, we crossed over to another big pond, one where my dad said he used to walk me round when we used to live there, when I was only 2! That's why coming here was revisiting my roots, as I used to live here at the beginning of my life, for a couple of years.

We walked all the way round the big pond, which was called 'Slipper Mill Pond'. Its huuuge, so more like a lake, but not quite! On this side of the pond, you could hear the wind whistling through the rigging of the boats moored at the marina, and it was strangely soothing, yet eerie. I can only imagine how creepy it must be at night with that noise!
There was a sleuce gate between the pond and the marina, so the pond was more than likely sea water!
The pond was full of life, from little fishes to lots of water fowl!! On this one there were seagulls, ducks, cormorants and coots!
A coot! They look like moor hens, but moor hens have red beaks and are smaller!
After the walk round the pond, we headed further into town, to the shops and heading towards the main part of the marina. There are LOADS of pubs in Emsworth. Not pubs converted into something else(though there were a couple of those) but still running pubs! It used to be an old fishermen's village, hence why so many pubs!
The first of many pubs we saw!

Having had a little walk through the high street and the town centre, we headed down to the main part of the marina where the sailing club were in full swing, dragging their boats about, dressed in a wet suit and life jackets. There was a little Life Guard charity sale going on, but by the looks of it, they were starting to pack up when we got there! There was this very loud organ playing too!

Further on, we came across a bit where you walk all along the marina and up to another pond, and it was the first sighting of swans!
There are A LOT of swans in Emsworth!! Once we walked along the marina, checking out all the boats moored there and curving round to another 'pond'. We decided to start walking round this pond too! On the other side, this house stuck out like a sore thumb, which I guessed was an old boat house, and I was right!
This pond was where I saw the most swans I've ever seen! I think it was all the cygnets grown up but not ready to fly yet, as it might of been moulting season, and swans can't fly during malting season! These were mute swans, and as you will see, there were LOTS!
A lot of ducks too! Did you know, only the female ducks quack? And during moulting season, all the ducks look the same! So some of these ducks were probably male! There was a little information bit on the wild fowl of the ponds, which me and my dad read. Its always interesting to read them!
On the other side, under one of those eye sore square buildings next to the old boat house, was this old car, looked really nice!
Once we had finished walking round and taking in the view, we headed back to the shops, to pick up a cakey for me, and just have a look to see if there were any interesting shops! We ended up heading to a green grocers, where we picked up some strawberries, blueberries and parsnips, then to this lovely old book store.
It was floor to ceiling chock full of books! And it was dark and closed in, just like the old libraries and book stores, it was so magical! It even smelled of old books, a lovely old musky smell, which, if like me, you love books, was pure bliss! I could of spent ages in that shop, perusing the shelves, but my dad wouldn't of let me hur hur hur. He picked up four Alexander Kent books and I picked up an book called 'Dance of the Assassins' by Herve Jubert. It looked like a really good read, and I will be starting it today, so I will let you know!
After the book shop, my dad declared he had spent enough money and we headed back to the car and back home. I ended my little Emsworth adventure down memory lane with a chill out in my favourite arm chair, a lovely chocolate fondant fancy and a cup of tea!
BLISS!

What did you get up to/are getting up to this weekend?

Lazy Internety Tuesday

Hello there!! Well Tuesday (yesterday) was a pretty chilled out day! I got some blogging done, made my facebook page (see to the right!) had a lovely lunch and then spent the afternoon eating cake and sorting out online stuff!!

Let start from the beginning then, shall we :D I wasn't expecting to go any where so I got up a bit later, at 10am. In the morning I started on creating my own (Kitty Bonkers) face book page for my fans to get close to me and be able to talk to me easier, and also so I can get your feedback!! There should be a box on the top right of my blog where you can clicky and check it out!!

Unfortunately I didn't take many photos yesterday, but I shall describe the delicious chilli, cheese and garlic dough balls I had with loooovely garlic butter and guacamole dips, which I had for starter. Then the yuuummy jacket potato with plenty of juicy prawns mixed in with marie rose sauce and what was left of the garlic butter spread on the potato. Such a good lunch, its making me hungry just thinking about it!

I didn't have a dessert, instead, I bought a Victoria sponge for me and my mum to share! From Costcutters, its soooo nice, filled a plenty with cream, jam and light and fluffy, so sweet!!

The rest of the afternoon was spent fiddling around with my facebook page, doing information on a bunch of Role Plays on the forum I belong too (I moderate the RP forum, yes, I am a nerd) and making characters and generally moderating. I also got on with some blogging and reading!! Pretty chilled day.

I did do hair and make up, since I was going out, so heres a picture of my face of the day, will do a proper make up blog on it later if you guys want ~ <3

I look a bit squinty, I don't know why *sighs* Today, I hope to be a bit more productive on the creativity front, I might just avoid the internet for an hour or so tonight to watch Avatar ~ The Last Airbender eps and draw!!

Blisters are Better, Drawing is fun again!

Where I am it is June!! So happy June!! Bit of a late night blogging going on here, cause I been doing other things :P But I thought I still best update :D Even though I am in bed at the moment, ehehehe!

Today, was an earlish start for me, 830am!! I am a lazy soul and usually don't get up before 9am! But I had to meet my friend at 11 and the bus takes about an hour (and I take about an hour and a half to get ready!) so I had to get up! Luckily, its a 9am start Wednesday morning, so I can fit in this sneaky bloggings before I go to sleepies!

My friend Jess wanted to go to Lush, to stock up on a couple of things before heading back to Canada (booo, shes so awesome!) and so we raided it! I have been raiding Lush often in the past month and now have many Lush things! So naughty!! Not cheap at all either!! Tsk tsk! Mind you, it WAS my birthday, so I was spending birthday money, thats allowed, right?

Me and Jess with her last ever Lush portsmouth haul!
After Lush, Jess had to go and work (shes a nanny) so I went to check out boots and what I could spend my £6 worth of points on! I had already bought some Soap And Glory stuff, but the other thing I wanted to try was £7 something, and you can't use Boots points and money :( So I hit the make up instead and good ole Barry M ;D Now, I have never tried  Barry M except in nail polishes, so I tried a lipstick! I wanted a nice lavender shade, so picked up this one (sorry the pictures suck, phone camera!):

Simple black squarish tube with 'Barry M' in gold writing on the top!

See, a lovely lavender shade in the tube!! It has a creamy consistency, very nice though!
Heres what it looks like on:
My mum doesn't think it suits me so much and I am not sure, but I will give it go, as it is such a lovely colour!!
That was £4.49, so I decided to check out the jewellery on sale as well! I got this lovely little wing (which my mum hated, she hates random wings)
I think its really cute and pretty though!! Even on my stubby fat fingers!! Talking of fingers, I used my Barry M Crackeds Monday night!
I loved how it turned out! I used all Barry M nail polishes, a red with pink cracking on top and pink with black cracking on top! I think it looks marvolous :D I painted my toe nails the same red:
I was taking all these photos while nomming on some delicious cous cous, I always pinch my dads packets of cous cous!!
Nom nom nom (yes I do eat out of the glass bowl I made it in, I am a slob :P)

After hanging out at my dads and eating his food, I decided I best go home and revise for my looming exams! Luckily, I had obtained a cakey on the way home, so it wasn't all bad:
Mmmmmmm cake and tea, with a good ole Greek Tragedy, just how I like it ;D Today was revision for Classical Civilisation, so I was reading through the booklet we got given and making more notes on Oedipus the King. Its quite interesting, if you are weird like me and into that kinda thing!
I only did two hours of revising because thats all I can handle, I get restless easily! Unless I am doing different things, I can't sit and read, unless its a really good book! I put some washing on half way through haha!!

I did take photos of what I was wearing today, before I forget :D
Can see the print of the dress better in this one

Dress: From Matalan I think
Cardy: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Shoefayre

I love necklaces and earrings with feathers on at the moment, I don't know why, but its become an obsession! I believe this lovely necklace is from Primark
Earrings from Primark that kinda match and a heart shaped necklace that says my name and has Tinker Bell on it :D I got it from Florida!
I thought I'd do an up close shot of the print on my cardy so you can see the little butterflies! I was wearing flowers and butterflys :D
I LOVE these shoes, they are so comfy and cute, with denim like material!!

After revision and dinner, I just chilled out max and decided to start drawing again!! I decided to begin with a picture of one of my more abandoned original characters, Kyo:
Not tooooo bad considering I haven't really drawn properly in two months!! I will colour him in tomorrow!

And with that, it is nearly 1am and I must sleepies! So goodnight from me!

Stay beautiful!

Down The Rabbit Whole

Hello everyone!! How are you? I am back on schedule today, finally!! So today I am going to post about a party I went to on Sunday :D

It was my friend Maisey's 18th birthday party and she threw an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party!! There was no alcohol but a lot and a lot of cake!!

One end of the table with me, the Prince of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat!
The other end of the table with two white rabbits, two Hearts servants and one Alice
I went as Alice!! I wish I could of have a dress or something like the one in the movie, but I improvised haha!!
Me with the white rabbit! I don't think I ever kept still long enough for a decent picture haha!!
It was loads of fun!! At first we were all sat round the table I had a cup of tea and then some coke and the Cheshire Cat and the Prince of Hearts kept making me laugh everything I tried to sip my coke and resulted in me, a few times, spitting my coke out!! They are eeevillll to me!! Soon we migrated into the living room to kinda watch the movie and kinda mess about!! We chattered a lot and the Prince kept making disturbing noises everytime the Bloodhound came on TV hahaha it was so funny!! Here is a lovely picture of me and my friends messing about:
Maybe I am angry because they are my sunglasses? IDK
At some point, half the room had migrated to the middle room and the few of us that were left creeped out into the garden and then scared them by pressing themselves up against the window from the darkness of the garden....well okay, only I did the window thing, but it was funny and they all jumped and screamed!!
I'MA EATCHU
After that we went into the same room and turned the light off and caused trouble and get blinded by people randomly flashing their cameras so every five seconds the room was lit up by a camera flash MY EYYYES!!
At some point before it turned dark, pictures were taken of everyone in the garden!! So here are some:
The birthday girl as the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat
All the Alice's
The White Rabbits! With the Cheshire Cat peeking in
The Prince of Hearts and his minions
When it was dark, we eventually headed into the garden and sat in a circle chatting till I demanded some sort of party game, which, in the end, turned into Truth or Dare!! I asked for one dare and I had to eat a spoonful of coffee and threw up it was sooooo DISGUSTING never again!! At 10:10pm we had the birthday cake :D Me and the cat kept passing it round the table, not actually stopping it and at some point I licked two slices, but people ate it regardless haha!! I hope they have my cold, gross people!! I didn't really feel like cake at that point so I nibbled at a bit and didn't finish my slice, so I gave it to my dustbin AKA the Prince. I think he polished off about three slices!!

It was a brilliant night and I am so glad I went, even if I did have to get up at 615 the next morning!! Sooo tired but I slept on the minibus to Cheddar Gorge (blog about that tomorrow). I shall leave you with a group photo!

A Day at the Museum!

My OOTD

Heya girls!! How is it going? Yesterday was such a fun day for me, me and my friend Lizzie went to Howarts :D

ONLY JOKING!! Haha I wish!! We went to the City Museum, but the top does look abit like the spires of a castle or something haha! We are nerds and we love things like Sherlocke Holmes, Aliens, Sci-Fi ect!! When we heard there was a exhibition going on at our museum, we were there!!
The museum is convientantly on Museum Road :D
City Museum is one of those big old timey buildings that was probably a old Navy building once upon a time.
Just part of it
The exhibition we had come to see was the Alien Invasion exhibit and also to pop into the Arthur Conan Doyle exhibit too!!
OOoooOOOOoooo
We are big nerds like this and were totally excited to see everything. I guarentee there was much squealing when we were in there!! It started when we first caught sight of the entrance and then practically ran for it cause look what was there!!
EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE
Tom Baker's outfit!! I want that scarf!!
As you can see behind Tom Baker there are posters of Sci-Fi films, which are posted all over the place in the exhibit, usually behind their associated movie, though these ones were just showing what was on show!
When we went through the door, the first thing we saw was this handsome fellow:
rawr rawr rawr
Is there something behind me?
The exhibits were so much fun we totally spazzed out over so many things!! I made new friends!!
I'm not pointing at anything...
He got a bit legless last night at the pub. And bodyless.
The place was filled wih freaky arse aliens all over the place and the lighting made it creepier. As you can see its quite dark!! It made it hard to take good photos! We later found out that photography was forbidden haha opps!!
My my thats a big gun ;D
I used to go to school with this guy, I am sure of it xD
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
Ones an alien and the other is a statue of an alien 8D
Face hugger D: RUUUUN
There was also Star Wars stuff too which we totally had little nerdgasms over!! God I love Star Wars!!
Ewok

One of the things I spaze out over was the suit from Lost In Space, a film I watched over and over and over again!!! My poor Dad, I would usually watch it with him cause he liked it too, but I don't think he liked it as much as me haha!! I just loved that film as a kid but I haven't watched it recently as I don't have it on DVD :(
The suit that is exactly like the one Matt LeBlanc wore!!
Once we had spazzed our way through this exhibition, we went to go see the Arthur Conan Doyle exhibition, but we didn't really take pictures as we thought we probably weren't allowed here either!! But I took a sneaky couple:
Sherlock Holmes' chair and violin xD
Conan Doyle tombstones (him and his wife I believe)
After we walked through the Conan Doyle exhibition, trying to work out the coded message which we gave up on, we decided to go down town for window shopping :D YAY FOR WINDOW SHOPPING. We went into Debenhams, and went straight to the cafe cause Lizzie was hungry!! She bought me a cupcake cause she loves me :D My first time trying a Red Velvet cupcake and it was YUMMY!!
My mid afternoon snack
nommy!!
Lizzie had a delicious looking tuna and cucumber roll!!
Once we had our fill, we decided to wander around the shop (and spent about an hour in there!!) and I found my most favourite shelf in the entire store!!
I WANT ALL THE PLUSHIES
There was also Miffy too, which I also think is so cute!!
Only two Miffy teddies though :(
We tried on a bunch of clothes which I will do a seperate post about later, when I am not getting ready for college (like I am while writing this xD ) But here is a snap just before we left the shop of me pretending to be a LAAAYYDDDEEE
LOL I actually do want all these things
After we left, we just wandered around after that and I spotted this pretty cake!!
OOOOooo Princess Castle Cake!!
I didn't take anything else after that!! We went home quite soon after and  me and my dad had delicious fish and chips for dinner, well I had scampi, then I came home and sorted out my stuff for today!!

So have a nice Friday bloggers!!
