Personal Goals for 2013!

Hello 2013! And hello to all my readers that still read these! Thank you for sticking around so long and not giving up when I thought I did!

Looking back over 2012, I am not quite sure what to think of it! It was an on and off year, I suppose, more off than on, but I plan to use the energy I saved up in 2012 to make 2013 one heck of a year! I did some awesome things in 2012, like attended my first festival, went to Crete, got a job. But mentally, 2012 was a bit of a downer for me, so making 2013 a recovery!

Why is this post so late, I hear you cry?! It's nearly February, I hear you cry?! I know, I know, don't worry! I planned all along to kick it off again around this time! What's the point in writing a New Years Resolution blog when by mid January we would all be tucking back into those left over Celebrations from Christmas, the gym long forgotten! Instead, I am making Personal Goals for the year!

I want to achieve more this year and make my life better for myself, not just short term goals, but long term ones too. I felt like my flare and passion for life had died a little in 2012, so I am bringing it back in 2013, I'm going to light myself up (like the fourth of July).

Now, on to those personal goals!

1. Finish a story! (aka Write a 50,000 novel in 31 days because you are a crazy fool)
~With this one, I have started already, though I fell behind last week when I got ill, but I am picking it back up today, I WILL get this done!! I have always written stories, and love writing, but I have never completed one! So this year, I told myself, I want to complete one of my stories, and then this escalated into the challenge of writing 50,000 words in 31 days...I AM CRAZY. But I will do it, I can feel it in my bones. It's even more of a challenge because it's the first sci-fi story I will be writing *le gasp* I usually write fantasy, but sci-fi has always interested me! Wish me luck!

2. Finish AT LEAST one chapter of my comic
~ Yup, another creative one, but I need to get that spark back! And what better way than actually doing my comic! This will be the next creative project after my novel, so once Subject 10 (the novel) is finished, I will move on to starting my comic! I already know what it is about and have Chapter 1 planned out in writing and began drafts, I just need to kick myself up the bum and draw!

3. Lose another stone (and get into healthy eating habits)
~ This one is more a long term goal, as I want to lose a bit more weight and then I will be happy with myself and I want to get into the good habits of eating healthily. I don't want to diet, I want to change my lifestyle! If I can get into good habits and lose weight, it will help keep the weight off!

4. GET FIT
~ I need the stamina. I get worn out after a brisk walk for 20 minutes. I want to build up my stamina so I can enjoy life more! I want to go for long nature walks, walk up hills, mountains, conquer places I have never been before, walk all the way around Portsmouth, stuff like that! I want to have the stamina to keep up with my boyfriend (NOT in the way you are thinking :P Or is it...;D ). Getting fit and healthy will give me that energy boost and stamina boost to live life the way I WANT to!

5. Blog More!
~ Because I was terrible at it in 2012! I love blogging, but I just didn't do it enough, and I totally want to get back into it, not just on this one, but on my media one too, where I will be reviewing local events as well as films, games and music! I don't want to be blogger famous, I just want to bring people good reading! If you have any tips or ideas for me, just comment below!

6. Save up enough money to do what I want!
~ This is a grouped one, because I want to go on holiday, and build my PC, and other things! But I am terrible at saving money, so this one will be a challenge for me! I've already started a budget sheet where I write down my daily spends on it and money coming in and out! This month I'm not doing too well...but I am trying haha!! Once I get my computer, I can do things like make a video game, edit drawings on photoshop, and review games better!! So over all, saving money would improve my life, haha!

7. Be a better girlfriend
~ Because I am a bit selfish to be honest, so this one I am dedicating to my boyfriend so I can make him happy. which will make me happy!

So there you have it, that's my personal goals for 2013! I've already started working on one or two, its baby steps, but I will get there! I will be happier by the end of the year, not a new me, but an improved me! Kitty 2.0!

On the Docks

Hey there everybody! This is a little blog post about the last couple of days, spent with my sexy boyfriend!!  

New Years Day we spent with my mum, step dad, Grandma and Granddad, having the first big roasty dinner of the year. Good way to spend the first day I say!! Followed by a delicious home made banoffee pie, perfect first meal of 2012!!
New Years Day evening, I booked a hotel for us both on our last night! I went on LateRooms.com to check out prices, and the one hotel had a double room and an executive room the same price, so I went for the Executive suite as I have never been in one before and when we got in we both went WOOOW

We had a bedroom AND a lounge area!! Just next to the sofa was a medium dining table, and the TV was a widescreen LCD! To the far right of the photo, just out of view, is the bathroom! All it needed was a kitchen and it would of been the perfect flat for us! We had dinner in the pub next door and then watched movies and things all night, it was a lovely end to New Years Day!

His coach wasn't till 12:30 so we got up in time to get to Gunwharf by 11:30, which mean't we had time for a walk about the local dock yard! Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, a place where the Royal Navy have launched ships for as long as since Henry the 8ths time!!
Since it is Royal Navy grounds, they have police and things around, and this sign right at the entrance, under which my boyfriend decided to check for things in his suitcase. Not very suspicious at all!!

We had a walk round the Dockyards and saw a couple of ships, like this one, the HMS Victory;

The ship was so big I couldn't fit it all on the camera!!
There were a few modern day ships about too, but they were all behind fences and gates, so I couldn't get to see what they were called!! I did manage to snap a picture of one though!

It started getting on a bit so we headed back, and popped into the shop on the way, which had loads of cool things in it like compasses, mini steam engines, hats, figurines ect. I quite liked this nifty hat, but I didn't have the money :P

Unfortunately we had to go wait for the coach then! We managed to take a couple of snaps of us together, because I forgot to earlier in the week!

This was the best photo :P Its because we were in the queue for the coach and we had to rush!! He had to go home then :( Sad times! But luckily I get to see him again in February!! Which is not long, I can't wait!!

And a photo he took of me at the Bowplex/Arcade we went to too pass time before watching Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (AWESOME). I like going on the Arcades there, especially the shooting game!

As I said, I won't be seeing him till February again, but hopefully that will go quickly!! I can't wait to see him again and spend more time with him!! We will of been together for 6 years in April, hopefully soon we can live together!!

I'm Back! My nerdy June

Hellooo!! As promised, I am back from my month off with the boyfie and making a blog!! This shall be blog on what I got up to on my June!! It was a nerdy June, to say the least! WARNING: This blog is photo heavy!!

My boyfriend didn't come up till the fourth, so I amused myself by starting a drawing, since I haven't been drawing much recently;

This was how far I got before my boyfriend came up and distracted me from everything :P He is so naughty!!
To celebrate him coming up, I made a big cake (as I love baking for everybody and anybody!!) and tried something I have never done before, which is a triple layer cake! It was Victoria sponge top and bottom, with red velvet cake in the middle! And lots of jam and butter cream between layers, and covering in icing!

I tell ya, this cake was sooooo good!! NOM NOM NOM!! We managed all of it!

It was still exam season and I had to go to my exams a couple of times, leaving my boyfie behind :( At one point, on my bus on the way home, part of it fell off!

Luckily, it wasn't a vital part and the bus could carry on and take us home till the last stop, then turn his light off. He did advise we didn't stand under it though!!

I did paint my nails during June, using my new cracked polish and tried a gradient look underneath it;

There is light blue on the bottom and then fades into metalic aqua, but you can't really see it in the photo!! I did enjoy looking at my nails all the time when they were like this though, it is very fun!! Sad times for my nail polish collection though, my only Opi nail varnish broke, it was my favourite to put on my toes!

After just under two weeks at mine, and all my exams out the way, me and the boyfie made our way up to Hull, where he lives. It was a miserable day, though, of travel, luckily we were comfy inside all the time! Unfortunately, Nate gets a little coach sick, so next time we are sitting at the front to see if that helps!!

Good bye Portsmouth, hello Hull!

This is an impromptu photo that the boyfie took, as you can tell, when we were in the bus station at Hull at some point, not the day we arrived, but another day! Thats my why are you taking a photo of me smile!!

As some of you might know, I only have a little notebook laptop, its teeny tiny and fitted on Nate's desk so when he had to do something on his PC I could just sit next to him and go on facebook for a bit! And twitter, and occasionally blogger. He was putting Win7 on my notebook for me, so now I am up to date!

My little notebook next to his 24 inch monitor and speakers. At home, I have the same monitor to hook up my laptop too (if I didn't, I would go mad with that tiny screen all the time!) This was before Win7 when I was originally on Ubuntu, because something went wrong with my Windows XP hard drive. Nate worked out that it wasn't my laptops hard drive connector, luckily, and installed a new SSD so I could have Win7!! Thats just part of the nerdyness, most of our time was spent playing computer games (Portal 2, Amnesia, Deus Ex, The Witcher 2) and watching movies!!

Here is a random photo of his little sister and you see that scary looking flesh blob in the background? Thats the best photo I got of my boyfriends front xD Hes photo shy! He looks kinda creepy in this, like an Amnesia monster or something!!
I did remember to take ONE outfit photo (aren't I great at remembering things, one in a month :P)

Love this skirt, its so comfy!! £1 from a Primark sale!! Just slip it on and slip it off, stretch and comfy and doesn't make me look that fat!! Bonus! The only problem with it, is that it rides up while you walk! This is mainly the fault of my big bum though!

Hello bloggers!! Yes, those nails are very chipped!! I didn't have any nail varnish remover and it was driving me crazy having badly chipped nails, but I didn't want to pick them off, cause thats bad for my nails!

That drawing I did, I did eventually finish it, due to the fact of my boyfriend fiddling with my laptop for ages putting Win7 on it and stuff, so I was bored and decided to finish colouring it! Boredom turned into productive creativity, whoop!

Its one of my characters called Kyo, he is a fire Angel and a Summoner of fire creatures. More about him will be on my nerd blog shortly!!
I also managed to start a new picture, including starting to colour it! Heres how far I have got at the moment;

I am trying to improve on my colouring and drawing!! One day I will be awesome at it *false hopes*
In the last week, Nate ordered some under bed storage, as underneath his bed was a mess! Men are so unorganised!! I sorted his clothes for him, made him chuck out a lot of stuff and seperated what was left into different boxes so it was easier for him! I wonder if he will keep it that neat though...t-shirts in one box, trousers in another sort of thing!

We also ordered a massive 16inch pizza one night, GOOD GOD IT WAS GOOD. Not excellent, but still amazing!!

I couldn't capture the hugeness of it, but it was big, I have never had a 16incher before!! What let it down, was the fact they had put kidney beans on it, even though it didn't say kidney beans, and that made it weird :/ Apart from that though, it was one good pizza!

At the end of the night, on the second to last night, Nate was sorting some songs out for me and I got bored, so decided to put a bow in his hair. I put it to the side at first and he took it out almost immediately. But then I sneakily put it on the back of his head and he didn't realise for ages till I told him! Didn't even notice me taking a photo! BWUAHAHAHAAHAHA

I came home on Saturday, and tonight I went to a pub quiz with my dad. It was a generally chill day today, just relaxing after struggling through the hell that was London's underground. My arms and shoulders still hurt from the massive detour I had to take due to the Victoria line being closed!! And people in London are very rude :( Always shoving past me even though I had two heavy bags and a big suitcase!

So thats my (very long) update!! I hope you feel you are all up to date and will forgive me for not being online! I am back nooow!

Mondays Are Boring

RED EEYYE (and you can see my freckles pfft)

Helloooo!! Mondays are always boring to me. Its like the start of the week and even on holiday they seem a bit of a urrrg do I have to start the week kinda thing!! Probably cause I get up at half nine during the week...:P But I am trying to get back into my routine as well of doing exercise and not staying on the internet all day ect. And trying to do a daily blog!! While I am on holiday at my boyfriends, blogs will go: the blog of the day ---> the morning of the next day. Geddit? So I'm doing Mondays blog post, Tuesday morning! Ahem.

Monday was boring, as I said. All I did was sit on the computer and be a bum. Tomorrow though is exercise day and I WILL do it. Tuesdays I don't exercise. But Monday's are MEANT to be, but I got lazy. BAD KITTY.

I did hear some people strimming outside though and peered through the window too see a big yellow Hull City Council van.

And a red man!

Now my boyfriend works for HCC so I was peering through to check if it was his van but it wasn't :( Booo. He had to do road sweeping all day Monday how boring D: (and made him smelly)
He did get a parcel, however, while he was at work. His brand new SSD!! SSD's go in your PC and stand for Solid State Drive, meaning, unlike your normal hard drives, an SSD doesn't have moving parts so is less likely to break and is a lot faster!! Now I am into all this computery stuff, but it was boring watching him install it and fiddle around with his PC for two hours in the end

But he did it in the end and now his PC is super fast and loads programs real fast which is good for me :D Cause I use it during the day while he is at work! And its a lot quieter. The HDD he replaced was very loud and making horrible noises. He did take a while installing everything back on his PC then he finally made us dinner of Mushroom Stir Fry with rice noodles, sweet chilli and garlic sauce and some Quorn steak strips! Nom nom nom.

While he was at work though I did a quick paint jobby of my nails cause I was bored!! Going to do them properly today if I have time...

Rimmels I <3 Lasting Finish in Sunshine

We didn't go out anywhere so I didn't wear shoes but I did take a picture of my second newest shoes I bought in the New Look sale before I came up:

They are so pretty but they get dirty so quick I have to keep rubbing them down with a damp towel!! Poor shoesies.

During the day, his mum DID give me a new makeup bag which matched the one she gave me yesterday as her friend were giving them away at like 50p (or free for swapsies for something she needed). Now, since I only come to Hull by train I only have one suitcase so can't bring ALL my make up with me. So I DID have one make up bag when I came up. Now I have three and its a lot better!!

My poor silver bag was filled to the brim and the zip puller came off so it was even harder to zip up!! Thank god for these two gold and silver ones, so pretty and spacious!! I've now seperated my make up between the three!! The two gold ones hold what was originally  in the silver one:

With my silver bag, I can still do it up just as long as I don't pack it full, so I put my make up palettes I bought with me in there:

Only one palette didn't fit in there so it sits under this bag on the set of drawers :D I am very organised now and it makes me happy! I might make a youtube video on my make up today, if I have time and will link it in tomorrows blog!!

College!!

As you guys might of worked out by now, I am redoing my college. Back in September I was nervous about being 21 and going back to college, with all the wheee kiddies all being 16 ect. Some people told me I would find people my age to get on with.

Well they were sort of wrong xD Man, I must have the looks and personality of a 17 year old because new people STILL meet me and think I am their age. I think it helped me to settle down at college!! I have made many friends there, ranging from ages 16 - 18!!

I am having the time of my life there, despite the stress, and will be slightly sad that it ends next week, but only till September!! Like all students at the moment, I am extremely nervous about my results ranging from, "Well I found it easy so I should of done well," too, "I found it easy so maybe I did it terribly wrong and got an E D:,"

I am currently finishing off my courses in transitions at South Downs College, in doing Archaeology and Classical Civilations (yeah, I am a old time nerd haha!). I was doing Biology but despite doing everything right and understanding everything...it wasnt showing in the exams and I dropped it to concentrate on other things :D

I have been visiting my boyfriend, as you probably guessed :P, and the past three weeks were brilliant. On the 9th I am going back to see him again for a week, then going to Selsey with my friends!! Wheeee such a busy July, I hope to update a bit more!!

What I spend my days doing

For the past two weeks and a half I have been with my boyfriend, in Hull!! Since there is only two weeks of college left (which start next week) I am practically on my holidays!

Nate works during the weekdays so I amuse myself otherways (like writing this blog) and over the past couple of weeks I generally sit at his desk and interwebs!! But I DO have a routine (which I will do tomorrow) But here is some pics of my time at his desk!

Here is the desk itself, I just took this, I have been colouring in my drawings. His desk is shiny shiny blackness, and he has two monitors cause he is greedy!!

I am a gamer, and he has a wii/gambecube emulator on his PC so I play games on that sometimes, recently I have been playing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker!
This one is a cartoony Zelda, but I enjoy Twilight Princess as well!

He has a little sister and brother who keep me company sometimes when they arn't at school!

Now for stuff we have been up to while we are together!!
Last Saturday we went to town and went in Gamestation where there was the staff playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 (which we have been playing at home) and the guy there let us have a go! We completed one of the hardest levels on 2-player mode, the guy was very happy we got a star for him haha! Princess Peach and someone who said he was Mario, but I think he was really Luigi in disguise were there too;


While I have been there, we also went to a place called East Park, a massive park in the middle of Hull! We took Jake and Alika, and it was a lovely afternoon!






And we also went to a small forest just outside Hull that sits under the Humber Bridge!





Its been very fun, even though its a little lonely being in his room while he is at work, I cope with the internet and other things to do!!
