Living on the Cheap: Need to remove that make up?

Welcome to the first edition of Living on the Cheap!! In these weekly Monday editions I shall be writing about solutions I have found when money is extremely low and you can only survive on beans and noodles. But you don't have to let your beauty regime suffer! This is especially good for students, with whom I know money can be sparse sometimes and every penny counts!!


This first edition shall be about removing your make up, for no more than 99p!
Now, I often do not have much money as, at the moment, I do not have a job! So I have to try cheaper things to see how they react to my skin and see how well they work. It was one night, when I realised I had run out of Nivea wipes, to clean my make up off, when I turned to these to try and see if they worked. And like magic, my make up was removed and no reaction happen upon my face. Now some of you money savvy ladies might of already picked up on this wonder, and some of you may think WHAT THE DEVIL! But do TRUST ME. I have used these constantly and they work just as well as expensive wipes! The cost 99p for 80, can get in lightly fragranced or no fragrance and they are quite obviously for sensitive skin. Why do I say obviously? Because they are baby wipes. Yup, pure and simple, baby wipes, bought from Superdrugs.

Now if you are thinking, EHHHH?! Then hear me out. They are obviously for sensitive skin, they are BABY wipes, made for babies bums! So they won't dry out your skin or cause a rash (I have sensitive skin and haven't had a reaction ONCE to these!) and they DO remove make up easily, even my Este Lauder mascara! Even my Bobbi Brown Gel liner! And you get EIGHTY for 99p (or £1.01 on the website, see here), as opposed to 25 for £3, or however much the other ones are! I got them at my local Superdrugs, and have a packet at my dads and a packet at my mums. They are useful for cleaning of most things off your skin and are very handy to have about! The lightly fragranced ones smell very gentle and is quite a nice smell, but as I said, there are none fragranced ones to try!
Now I know some of you might turn your nose up at this and stick to your more expensive proper facial wipes as, we are humans and we do not like change. But I do implore you to just pop to your local Superdrugs, pop down a £1 and take home a packet of these as one night, they might save face!! ;D
Now if you are a foreign lovely (foreign to me that is) then try out your local drugstores own brand baby wipes! I really think everyone should give baby wipes a try as a cheap alternative to 'proper' facial wipes!

Cursed Technology!

Well, so much for my launch back into blogging! My laptop died! I had to wait for it to be fixed and reformatted and reinstalled and all that jazz!! So lets start again shall we, starting tomorrow, I shall be back again!! I might schedule some posts now just in case *mutter mutter mutter*

Weight Loss Diary: Day 1

Hello there! Welcome to the first edition of my Fatties Diary!! This is not a diet diary, as diets and me aren't friends. However, exercise is my friend! For Lent I have given up chocolate, so hopefully, this should help! Though I have to try and reduce the amount of other crap I eat too ;D

So lets start this off with some stats:

Today, I started the day with a scrummy breakfast. Now, my way of "dieting" is eating what ever the hell I want, as long as I am eating healthily, three meals a day and not eating lots of crap. So you may gasp at some of my meal choices and go, "But thats full of sugar!". Remember, I am not dieting, I am changing a lifestyle ;D
SO back to today. I might start taking photos of my noms. Just to show you portion sizes I do. Today, for breakfast was:
Tescos Strawberry Crisp
Rice milk
Cranberry juice
Thats generally my breakfast most days; cran juice, rice or soy or oat milk over flakes or clusters of cereal with dried fruit. I love red berries dried in cereals. Its like my more grown up version of Lucky Charms or something!


I am aiming to exercise every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and since today was Friday I did 30 minutes of Core Stability. Some of it was reaaally hard, but luckily a lot was lying down. My muscles wouldn't respond to some of the exercises though, so I had to do really lazy ways!
I didn't eat again till four hours later, which is good, because I am one of these people who need to eat every few hours or so! So I had my daily Go Ahead Forest Fruits Yogurt Breaks, which I love so much I can eat a whole box if I am not careful! So I limit myself to one pack a day ;D I was at college so that was all I had time to eat, until 2pm when I had my prawn sammich, whole meal bread and sweet chili mayo inside! Mmmmmmmm


I had an apple around 3pm, and was doing really well TILL I WENT HOME
I bought popcorn in the Costcutter cause I am PMSing and I CRAVE sugar when I am PMSing! And obviously I can't have chocolate, so I had a small bag of toffee popcorn, which isn't too bad. IT WAS THE THIRD OF A VICTORIA SPONGE I DEVOURED BECAUSE MY MUM HAD BOUGHT ONE CURSE HER. And I can help myself to it D:


At least my dinner kinda filled me up so I haven't had any cake since 7pm (its 22:40pm now). Wholegrain rice mixed with veg, salmon and veggie fingers!! Mmmmmm so nice and so filling!


The last thing I ate today was a pack of crisps my mum gave me cause she and my step dad didn't want to eat them! MY MUM IS MAKING ME FAT XD I don't normally eat crisps though, so its not TOO bad! Just need to eat less cake ;D


Well, with my weight, I did get down to about 13 stones 2 pounds, but where I got ill again and did no exercise I put back on 3 and a half pounds! But if I can loose that from 13 stone 8 pounds, then its all good! I might update during the week, but my weigh in days will be Fridays, so check back next Friday to see if I lost anything!

OOTD/LOTD ~ Housewife Day 17/3/11

Well Thursdays is my chore days so not much interesting happens here! Went to the JC for an hour and they had those horrible plastic seats that my over bearing behind always sweats on no matter whether I am cold or not. Its so irritating, curse my large posterior sometimes! Then to college to show Fay about what I did at Fishbourne Wednesday, then back home for lunch (sesame ramen with fried mushrooms and prawns). The rest of my day was spent mopping the kitchen floor and bathrooms floors, then eating cake and drinking tea with my mummy, then drawing! The best bit was listening to Disney songs and watching Hercules, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and The Aristocats in a row, and eating cake with my ma!

Messy easy to do blue look cause I still feel a bit meh so easy make up it is at the moment! Hair was just fluffed and fringe pinned back! Check out my lavely pink cheeks, £1 for that badboy blusher, more on that next week!

And here is my outfit. Hastily put together the night before, right before I went to bed, cause I am lazy like that.

Sorry I've Been Away!! + New Blog Schedule

Hai guys! So sorry I have been away! 2011 has really been kicking my arse health wise, first a cold, then flu and now a bug and hayfever! I hope Spring will herald some health for me! Obviously more important things have been going on in the world recently, so I doubt anyone paid much attention to my absence! I have been praying and donating to Japan what I can, raising some money with a cupcake sale! I did try to sell some art too but it didn't sell so well, as there were much better artists around! But I might do a sale for more donations for Japan if any of you would be interested in my art!



Anyways, while I have been away, I have been thinking about my blog schedule and I want to change it around about. Outfit posts and looks of the day will be everyday, instead of built up to once a week, so you should always get a post from me every day (Granted I am not pigging ill again!) even if it is just a small one!
