Bank Holiday Mondays arn't real Mondays!

Why helloooo
I always like to start the post off with an attractive picture ;D Courtesy of the boyfie!! Now Monday was Bank Holiday in England so people take the day off work. Boyfie has the week off work, so it didn't really matter but it still felt like a Bank Holiday!! Since the clouds cleared up a bit we decided on another bike ride, this time, to the Garden Centre again!! We went with our friend this time, on his BMX, we were like an awesome bike gang yo (not)
Since it was bike time I thought I best wear something suitable for biking, so jeans it was!
Dress from Select, Cardy from Select, Jeans from Dorothy Perkins
Before we went for our lovely bike ride, we went to our friends house, Dave, who I kinda like sometimes but he talks too loud and swears a lot which annoys me sometimes. But he made us a real nice dinner of veggies, stuffing and a massive mound of mash potatoes, but I didn't really eat a lot of the mash as I was so full! I can only eat small amounts at a time (probably why I snack rather than eat proper meals) and the veg and stuffing was enough for me!! He also had homemade bread which was delicious, I had one slice at his with some sea food mix spread on it, lovely!! He gave us half to take home so I popped that in my bag for later, he also gave me a can of soup haha!!
After a couple of hours playing COD4, Wii Beach Resort Sports and Wario Ware on the Wii, we decided it was nice enough to risk a bike ride!! Dave came with us as we went to drop off the food and pick up our bikes and then we were off!!
I'M IN A FIELD!!
It was windy!!
Boys being boys, they found something to do half way through the bike ride, and this involved seeing if they could jump over a ditch to the side of the track!!
Bunny Boy Dave
The Elegant Boyfie Flail
They only jumped across it and back again so we didn't spend too long there, then we carried on up the road (about three miles there) till we got to the garden centre, When we first got in, the staff were giving us looks and watching us as if we were going to steal something so I just got fed up with it and stared back. When ever I looked round there was always at least one person hanging around near us. We arn't even kids, we are 22, 23 and 27 respectively!! Bloody mistrusting staff, made me angry and feel bad about myself!!
Ah well, I only took one picture while we were there and that was messing with my Macro:
Pretty white flower
I love delicate flowers like that, coming off nice leaved plants, I want some for my room!!
After we bought plants, we went next door to the pet store, which I love going in to see all the animals!! They had little turtles!
Awwws teeny tiny turtles!
And there were gerbils!
Gold and silver Gerbils!
And there were piles of hamsters!!
Literally!! Sleepy little critters!
And one little Robo hamster which I want to keep and name Squishy and he shall be my Squishy haha
He fell asleep during the Hokey Kokey, you put your right foot in...zzzzzz
And massive Giant Rabbits!

Giant Rabbit and normal sized rabbit!

Since it was like 6 by then and the place was closing we decided it would probably be a good time to go home!! So off we road, the entire 3 miles back again!! Now I have only been riding properly again for a week and a bit now and I was chuffed I didn't need to stop for a rest this time even though my knees were complaining!!
I adore the plants my boyfie bought to look after for me, they are so pretty!! Now I have Miss Lilac:
Miss Lilac (I dont know their real names) Red leaves with green edging and purple and white flowers!
Pinky:
Pinky ~ Pink leaves with green accents
And Butterfree (Pokemon ref for you ;D )
I think her leaves look like moths or butterflys relaxing!! This plant closes up at night
Butterfree at night, with her leaves shut and she sparkles in the evening sun!
For the rest of the night we tidied up, checked our plants were healthy and then played a bit of Deus Ex!! The boyfie bought a fern and a big leaved plant but I am yet to take pictures of that!

OH YEAH, I will end this post with a picture of British Wildlife at its finest. A kestrel!!
As took by the boyfie, as spotted by Dave, as cooed at by me!
How did you spend your Bank Holiday if you had one?

Mail always makes me smile!!

YAY A PACKAGE
Things in the post that are from other people and not companys always make me smile and leave me with a big bubbly feelings!! I was so happy to see this on the floor by the letter box, I scooped it up straight away!! Then I run upstairs to open it haha I am such a geek!!

Tada!!
It was from CherryChan108 (link to her lovely blog)!! I had won her competition to win a Maybelline Mono Eyeshadow in 'I Love Lilac'!! She sent me a lovely note and the package was wrapped up so cutely!!
Cute Sakura stickers!!
Snoopy tape!!
I was so happy to recieve this I was all bubbly and I sort of squealed a bit in happyness when I opened the little pink package to find goodies (I love samples haha I always tear them out of magazines and hoard them, even if my mum bought the magazine!!)
YAY FOR GOODIES
We have from the left: Maybelline Mono Eyeshadow, Shu Uemura Skin Purifier, Vichy One Step Cleanser 3in1, VOV Daily Fresh Mini Pack Lifting Berry & Berry pack and Jergens naturals Soothe Daily Moisturiser!! So many goodies I can't wait to try them out!! Might do little reviews on them when I do!! The Jergens and the VOV Berry & Berry pack I will be using Sunday as my usual Once a week Pamper, and the other two I plan to use soon!!
Of course, I used the eyeshadow straight away (this was pre getting a shower ect so I didn't yet have make up on) And I created this lovely purply lilac eye!! This colour is so shimmery and pretty, I just added a bit of a darker shade on the corners and voila!! Make up for the day!
Pretty in purple
Scary blue eyes xD
I felt very girly and feminine sporting this eye and I loved it (you can probably tell from the girly and feminine clothes I wear, I am that type of person haha!) Talking of clothes, here is the outfit the make up was paired with:
Dress from George, Cardy from Select, sparkly pink belt, blue woolen tights
Its getting cold here in Hull, it was only about 15 today which is colder than my perfect tempurature (which is about 18, 19 C ) so I whacked on some wooly tights!! The weather is constantly wet cloudy and dark with rare patches of sun!!
But I was happy to see the plant I made the boyfie buy in the Garden Center on Sunday is actually a flowering plant!! And its PURPLE I LOVE PURPLE
So pretty!
It definately didn't have flowers on it when we bought it, we didn't even think it was a flowering plant! Its technically my plant (cause I said so) and she was kinda dry so I watered her :D I hope she survives!!
Me and my boyfie had a bit of a fall out yesterday so I went for a bikeride round the block and ended up falling off my bike!! I'm not very good with corners, so I went to take one and ended up crashing into the pavement and falling off onto my left side!! I cut my foot and scraped my leg up but nothing too horrific, a nice man came over to make sure I was alright, and then I hopped back on the bike, and with some advice to stay on the pavements, cycled home and into cuddles with my boyfie cause he felt sorry for me cause I fell off my bike and he missed me for all of the half an hour I was cycling haha! Hes so sweet, its just we are both very stubborn people sometimes (I am a Taurus he is a Cancer so probably doesn't help!) After that we were back to normal and he cleared out his drawers while I watched him and managed to nab his tripod that he never uses! Its just a little one so I can put my camera on tables and stuff and it not wobble!
The 'I'm Testing my Tripod' picture! Silly face totally needed!!
We finished the day by drinking hot chocolate and snuggling in front of the PC (like the lovely nerdy geeky people we are) and watching Tales From  The Crypt (god I love that show! So cheesy!) and then going to bed!! Ended up being a good day in the end!! Cherrychan cheered me up in the morning with her package, miss Lilac (my plant thats her name now haha) cheered me up, my mum cheered me up by exchanging emails and then, in the end, my boyfie cheered me up!! Not that I was emo or anything, I just been stuck indoors for a few days with crappy weather so I get a little down sometimes!! But thats enough rambling for now.

OH YEAH if you haven't checked it out yet, I have a new blog for nerdy things!: Kitty's Nerd Stuff ahoy!
Check it out if you have a little nerd in you (I don't recommend eating them, they are a bit stringy)

Weekends are for bike rides

Saturday
Saturday we didn't really do much as there was no gas, so I sat around in my PJs and we did stuff on the laptops and computer and boyfie built a coffee table! Had a real late bath and then sat down and he scared me silly with Doom 3 and then we played Deus Ex!!

Sunday

On Sunday, it was a nice sunny day, so boyfie turned to me and said, do you want to go for a bike ride. Now you might remember that I can't ride a bike and he was trying to teach me last week, but I was still falling off a bit. Now yesterday,  I got on the bike while he was tidying up a bit before we go out and rode a little round the garden, managing not to fall off and to take a corner I kept crashing into!! With a little bit of confidence, I took the bike out onto the square and practised there and the first go, I managed to ride round the little square!! I had a big grin on my face and was so happy, I could ride a bike again!! So we proceeded to go for a bike ride...a six mile bike ride to the garden centre and back. Boy what a way to reintroduce yourself back into biking!! My knees were aching and my butt is so sore today!! But it was worth it and I want to go bike riding everyday (not six miles though!) At the Garden Centre we picked up a drink and a slice of cake then went looking for plants. I picked out one and my boyfie got two more, to put in his room! When we were cycling back, my legs were starting to go a bit like jelly so I had to walk for a bit, but it was so much fun riding a bike again! And a lot of exercise haha! Didn't take my camera with me but took some pictures when I got home of the plants and also the sky outside, which has been only a little bit cloudy when we were cycling, but had clouded over after we got back.

I picked the one in the pink/purple pot he is going to look after it for me! He picked the red potted one
This is the other one he picked and the spikey one in the background, he bought ages ago!
When I was a kid I used to think these beams of light were to let the souls of something dead into heaven or to let angels come down to earth!
ALIEN LASER BEAMS RUN FOR YOUR LIFE (or just a negative picture hur hur hur)
Sunday night we just ate our dinner of salmon topped with chilli and corriander with mixed veg and smiley faces and played Deus Ex!!
